We liked the way the Roku Streaming Stick functioned however we found out our router wasn't fast enough to take full advantage of the features of this stick. The item itself works great though and hasn't had any glitches in the past couple of weeks since we purchased.

I thought this product was easy to install and the on screen directions were easy to follow. It has worked as it said it does!

Wanted movie channels, this was the best and less expensive way to go.

Purchased this to turn my Samsung plasma HGTV into a smart TV so I could view And use the apps for my purchased subscriptions to Apple TV and Prime Video. Very easy to install, just need a free HDMI port. Also plan to “test” streaming of other channels, although not ready to switch from cable. Very pleased.

At the suggestion of Comcast, we are using Roku to eliminate most of our cable boxes but still have the same capabilities on those sets. We have replaced one so far and, while the capabilities are still there for Comcast and there are other choices also available, you have to navigate much more to get to where you want instead of just turning on and entering your channel. Also, there is no keypad for direct channel entry, and this can be a pain when you just want to get from one place to another - we watch the Comcast channels in the 800s (HD) and the Roku keeps coming up at channel 2. We’ve developed a favorites list that again you can navigate to in order to get to the channels you tend to watch. The time delay in receiving a broadcast is about 30 seconds, and that can be annoying when watching a game - have to avoid looking at texts from your friends watching it live. Most annoying was a period of time - seems to be fixed for the moment - when (especially on “live” broadcast) the audio was a second or two behind the video - felt like I was watching an old Kung Fu movie that was dubbed for English. Millennials are probably fine with the inconveniences on “regular tv” to get the other advantages, but us baby-boomers prefer no nonsense and might not take to the trade-offs here for channels we will probably never watch. We’re getting used to it, but haven’t decided yet whether we want to add more to replace any other cable boxes.

Remote feels more substantial than past models. LOVE that you can conrrol tv volume from the remote side buttons!!!

Just have to add an Amazon account, for purchasing videos I guess...I use all the free apps, and just a heads up, if you’re stick ( which we had plugged up into the TV for power source) well out old tv couldn’t charge it or keep a charge so we just used the provided wall plug and no issues since
