Don't toss out the old TV if it still works. As long as the TV have an HDMI port, this ROKU can connect to it and make your "dumb" TV a "smart" TV as long as its within range of the wifi signal. Easily use any streaming service or even streaming channels to watch about movies / TV shows you wish.

I use this on a TV for my business and it works very well. Easy for anyone to operate.

Charter Spectrum forces its subscribers to use ROKU. Charter won't let it subscribers use Apple TV or a Fire TV or a Chrome device. Sling TV can't provide local channels in our area. Don't want a contract. So, I have this roku stick.It works, not as well as its competitors, but it's inexpensive. It seems to buffer a bit more than the Apple TV or Fire TV especially on ESPN.

I have had a Fire TV, Google Chromecast and a few other streaming devices in the past. The Roku is by far the best. It has a great user interface, that is fluid and responsive. No hitching or lags. The remote is very responsive as well. I am able to use Amazon Prime video with it without any issues.

This product was just what I was looking for ,it was also very easy to follow instructions for setup.

I like the device when it is working, and the stream works 99% of the time. However, I don't like the remote, because with it being plugged into the HDMI port in the back, the remote needs line of site to connect with the device. It is very annoying. Otherwise the device is very nice and a good price. However, I will go with an express model next time.

Frankly I like the Roku for the number of apps and channels it has. I am on Time Warner / Spectrum and I have loaded their TV app and I can watch LIVE cable in another room over wifi using their app on the Roku and not have to run a coax cable. This also eliminates the need for another set-top box.

I love the streaming capabilities but I'm not at all impressed with the remote. The volume and mute buttons are on the side and are always being pushed by accident. Even when you hold the remote to surf, the buttons are so easily pushed. Very poir location. However, the ease of set up and use are nice

much better than the amazon fire stick. This does what I need it to do.

This Roku streaming stick is a great way to take a not smart TV or computer monitor a Smart TV. Roku, as a streaming services portal offers the widest selection of free and subscription content.

Good price. Works great. I was considering buying a roku tv but tried this and now I don’t have to.

Went to BestBuy looking for a solution to get my child to stop monopolizing our bedroom television. Saw the Roku stick talked the sales associate and it had everything we needed. My child can go onto Youtube Kids and watch all her shows. Best of all it has built-in parental controls & we have our TV back.

Finally cut the cord with cable and am using the ROKU on all my tv's. Menu is easy to understand. Only issue which was my fault was the first one I purchased was the express which can't control volume and power to TV so need 2 remotes. Bought 2 streaming sticks and they work great.

Works well with the living room tv. Should have ordered it much sooner

We purchased this when we decided to cut the cable. This works great for our tv needs.

This is an inexpensive way to add convenience to your internet-based TV watching experience. The free channels are decent, but piggy-backing off of family subscriptions helps. We use Prime video, HBO Go, Netflix, Showtime Anytime, and the news streaming channels more than anything. It's a nice substitute to cable but I have no idea what bang for your buck you get with some of the a la carte streaming options. Could be a hit or a bust.

I have replaced the digital boxes that I had rented from my cable company with Roku streaming sticks. I now get my cable channels through the Roku. I have purchased 4 Roku units now. In a few months my investment will pay for itself since I no longer have to rent the 4 digital cable boxes.
