Very good device for augmenting cable services

The setup was very simple and connected to my WiFi network seamlessly. I have several of them on various sized TV's from 19" up to 45" 1080p and the video is great. There is a fairly large latency between the cable and this (about 45 sec) but it's not a problem. The only features I wish it had are 'mute' and 'last channel' buttons. Great device and I recommend it highly.

Overheating problem

The minute I started to watch a movie, I had a warning flash on my TV: "Device is overheating." I immediately followed all of the tips that ROKU support provided. I even ordered the free HDMI extender cable. To no avail, it still overheated. I searched the internet to figure out what could be causing the problem and this is a known issue. I even saw a customer alter the device on a YouTube video in order to stop it from overheating. You shouldn't have to jump through hoops to stop a device from overheating. If it is known, ROKU should have a case that does not allow for overheating. I am returning to Best Buy. It is not worth the hassle and worry of destroying my TV in the process. I am looking into buying an Amazon Fire stick. How bad can it be?

I really love shopping at Best Buy online and in person. It is a very friendly store to shop at. It is almost like being in heaven. What more can you ask for. May a new Range Rover Velar 2018. They are inexpensive, offer many, many free channels, and provide an app for my cable provider, allowing me to take back the cable boxes and save that monthly fee. Piece of cake to install and use.

I have Comcast so it’s nice that I can stream through the app instead of needing another cable box. I just wish Comcast was in partnership with all the channels like VH1 and MTV.
