Cut the Cable!

I decided to try Roku to access Sling TV and it was the best decision I could've ever made! More money in my pockets and I still get to see my favorite programs.

The one thing you can't do is screen mirror from your computer or phone with this model. However, you can send images and music from them to the Roku. Get apps for free TV and Movies!

Has a better range than the fire stick.

It picks up our WiFi so much better! I originally went to buy a WiFi extender. I bought this instead and it works great without the WiFi extender. Wish I had known about it a year ago!

It has many stations on it, you choose which you want. However it has an aggravating voice that dictates everything to a show’s beginning. I have a problem with the remote control. The mute button is right where you grab it to pick it up. This mutes the tv quite often.

I could have plugged it into the USB port on the back of the tv but the tv didn’t put out enough power to operate it. I’m using a very small 19in tv with it.

Great Alternative
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Using 3 of these to replace Spectrum boxes. The Roku guide is faster and more responsive. After 6 months, the Roku pays for itself. It's ability to run a variety of apps makes it a great streaming device. Netflix, Hulu, Prime, Disney....all run great.

Free Sling for new subscribers only...

What's interesting is that it makes NO mention of this on the website; it's only disclosed to you AFTER you purchase the Roku. This is misleading, and I've been given the run-around from both Best Buy and Sling. I wonder if anyone at Best Buy will notice this review and make it right with me...

I love this gadget

I could no longer afford cable but I still wanted to be able to watch certain programs. With my new Roku stick, I watch only what I want with limited commercials. It’s the best investment!
