My wife was very interested in watching "The Crown" on Netflix. Rather than purchase an entirely new home theater setup, the Best Buy rep gave us a very complete solution...getting a Roku device for our existing TV. Perfect!

I love my Roku. Easy to connect, clear pictures and comes with a remote that dont need to hear you to change channels.

Easier to navigate than Amazon Fire. Way cheaper than Apple. Other brands seem insignificant. Set-up appears seemless but might be a little frustrating. Perfect if you want apps from 800 churches.

Went in to upgrade to a smart tv...my tv in the bedroom is only 4 years old and gets about one hour or so a night so its like its brand new...but it is not a smart tv and I was in the middle of a hulu series and wanted to access it in the bedroom...best buy rep brought me right over to the roku sticks and $50 bucks later I was watching hulu upstair...I went with the second level up so that the remote didnt have to be lined up with the stick and I love it...its worth the extra couple bucks.

This is the 2nd Roku stick I’ve purchased. Very easy to use - love the new remote with volume and power controls for the TV.

We only have streaming services and the Roku allows us to access them all. We have three Roku devices and have added apps/channels that are kid friendly to our main to. Our 4yo and 6yo can use the remote without any help to watch PBS, Disney Jr, Netflix, Nick, Jr, etc. Our bedroom Roku allows access to more grown up channels like HBO Go, CW, and streaming services like YouTube TV and Direct TV. It has replaced all of our Google chrome devices. We are happy with our Roku sticks/remotes.

As my cable company are about to make it compulsory to have a cable box for each TV and charge $8 per month I decided to explore the use of a Roku stick which incurred a "one off" charge of around $40. It was easy to set up and use and gave a better quality picture than the one I received though the cable. You need to do your own math to decide if this is the correct option for you but you can also access a number of other free and paid streaming services which may also suit your requirements.

Bought this to help my mother who is terrified of any new technology. I had originally planned to buy her a new smart TV but the salesman at the store told me putting a Roku on the TV she had would be easier. He was right- I hooked it up and my mom loves it! If you're trying to help someone older access streaming apps, this is the way to go. Can't imagine anything being easier to use than this!
