I thought I might have to give up my “vintage” not so smart anymore Plasma until I heard about Roku ! I had been so use to cable but we moved to a rural area and cable wasn’t an option. Now we are totally wireless on all 6 of our tv’s and love the ease of streaming live or watch movies old & new. I’m 67 and if I can figure it out so can you !

I have several older Rokus, the first model and a third generation box but this is the first stick that I've used. This one is faster than both of the older box style ones are with loading menus and overall responsiveness. The reason I bought this one was to replace the first generation Roku that I had because that one didn't support Netflix profiles. I'm looking forward to taking this on travel so I can access my entertainment on any HDMI compatible TV.

I have been using the Roku players for years and they just keep getting better! I love that the Roku stick and it's awesome little remote turn any TV with an HDMI port into smart TV. The apps for the big streaming companies work great. My personal favorite is the Plex app. It connects to my server without any issues to play movies that I have on the home network. The new remote with power and volume controls eliminates the remote clutter from multiple remotes laying around.

Easy Set-up. I like how it up-converts the picture to 1080p. Great option if you want to cut the cable cord.

Great product. Being a senior and not tech savvy I was a little concerned about using this. However, it was easy to install and easy to use. I like this one better the other one I have (set up by a youngster) as this one has a mute button. Was able to cut the cord and save $50 a month by using Hulu Live. Roku itself has a lot of free viewing choices too. All in all a good buy

It's actually great and I like the voice feature how you can talk to it and ask what you need. It is a bit different than the standard one but it's worth it! Get it today! You won't be disappointed! I wish Roku had browsers involved too but it's not powerful as a desktop yet today. Maybe one day they will. I heard ChromeCast has browsers but the processors in these devices aren't that strong to enable browsing streaming features.

I purchased this after both of my fire sticks stopped working. My mother has one and loves it so, I decided to give it try. I don't know what I was thinking about not getting one of these before. I like everything about it. Took a minute to get everything setup and connected. Runs slow sometimes but I think it's just my internet connection. Other than that it works very good. I will definitely buy another roku device or Roku television in the future

Got this instead of Firestick. Very user friendly and easy to navigate. Has a great selection of preloaded apps. Bought it mainly for Hulu access to get rid of cable. So far so good

You get to use the major streaming services such as Netflix, Hulu, and Prime. Unlike the Google Chromecast which I was considering when buying, the Roku doesn't exclude Amazon Prime Video due to Google vs. Amazon competition. To watch Prime Video on Chromecast I think I could only do it through a Chrome browser on a laptop. Also, Roku gives you a remote control which I realize I prefer over controlling my shows by phone (as you do with Chromecast).

Easy to install and works great for streaming. Lots of apps and easy to get additional apps.

Hooked up to a 32 inch 720p tv and just works. I like that roku is platform agnostic so I dont get pushed towards using one service over another. The dlna streaming could be better as the format support doesnt work with mkv with hd audio. The interface is a also a divisive, could it be falsiher and modern looking? Yes, but at least it does it primary job of streaming from online services fantastically, so I'm willing to give roku a pass.

This Roku is very snappy and I love the new remote that can turn on and off the TV and controls the volume too.
