There are some disclaimers new Roku users should be aware of that I did not find in any reviews prior to trying this. The initial setup worked fine, plugged it directly into an available HDMI port on my less than <1 year old Vizio4K-HDR TV. Was able to set up my account and apps fine, but when trying to watch anything I got the infamous HDCP error message. Ran through all the steps found on their site, as well as many other sites. Nothing worked. Something with my system was not "certified". Then I found out that the Roku would not work with my surround sound anyway as I have an older Yamaha receiver that doesn't have HDMI ports. So, if you have nothing else connected to your TV other than maybe a soundbar, and want Roku then this should work fine. Otherwise you may run into the same issues I did. I ended up returning it. I have been using my PS3 and Xbox One S as media centers for quite a while now. I use an old Roku 2 in my home office and cut the cord a while back.

The best thing after cable TV and the simplicity..

Have used it for awhile. Has the basic free channels. Can be used with Nexflex and Hulu. It's ok.

works very well in areas with crappy reception and is a great way watch shows on a limited budget.

I bought it for my parents so that they could start steaming in their own home, and it works like a charm.

Bought this to replace my Premier. It provided the same quality broadcast, but I found the stick almost too large to fit comfortably behind my set and there was more interference with the WiFi and Remote signal, where inputs would become lagged at start up and when not used for a while (like after watching a movie) I returned it for a new Premier.

Did not need full cable for guest room, just basic

Easy access to major streaming apps, remote could use update and voice activation. Overall decent value

Good for extra tv in spare bedroom or basement if still using cable.

I love having the ability to watch great movies on Netflix. I was able to lower my cable bill as a result.

Works well for the most part, but every once in a while you will need to reboot. Not a huge deal.

Set up takes longer than expected, but once you start using Roku, it's very straight forward.

This allows you to cut the expensive cable and still get content that is worth watching.

It's much cheaper than cable, but must have good Modem and Router for streaming or else it cuts out alot.

This is a really good, functional Roku stick. It has a lot of free content and seemingly endless apps

Only issue I had was this device does not work very well with poor internet connection.
