It only worked when I stood next to the tv and pointed it at the usb stick. I ended up getting a different roku that mounted to the bottom of the tv and had a direct line of sight to the remote.

Streaming quality is good and the internet connection is strong. The only real issue I have is that the remote keeps losing connection to the Roku and I have to reconnect it. It’s incredibly frustrating when that happens.

We bought this as a replacement and it loses sync with the tv frequently and the voice control doesn't work for entering info like long email addresses. This item is "meh" at best.

Overheats within a week after purchase. Some folks suggested an extender, but why design a product that needs to have you purchase another product? Even a free extender is a cop out. Appears this company tried to "fire stick" it, but did not put in the design time. Overheating, overheating, overheating, I cannot say it enough. Avoid this product, sure you can return it, but your time has been wasted. I returned it and chastised the "expert" who suggested it. Get a Roku that comes with an HDMI cord long enough to set 2 feet from the heat at the back of your TV.
