Regarding your players temperature, you may want to try finding a cooler location for your Roku player. For example, avoid placing the unit inside a cabinet or other closed space. Avoid placing the unit on top of other electronic devices such as cable boxes, routers, or audio/video receivers. You'll also want to avoid placing the device in direct sunlight. As a tip, you can check the strength of your internet connection by going to Settings > Network > Check connection. This will test the quality of the signal and also measure the speed of that connection, to be sure that your signal is strong enough. Be sure that your router is within range of the device and avoid obstructions like cabinets and walls when possible.

I have them on my other 2 tvs. I really like them especially for the volume and turning the tv on but this last one overheated in 2 days and then stopped. I am hoping it is just defective and will replace .

GARBAGE!!!! Overheats and remote stops working

Now, Roku stick overheats so much it's almost too hot to touch. AND the remote gets stuck, keys won't work. This is a non-stop issue so much so I don't use it anymore. Do NOT purchase this product. Google the heck out of it - you'll see this is a very common issue. Plenty other better competing products. Money wasted!
