I am returning it as I do not want to keep taking it out, (as online sources say one should if it's too hot), and putting it back in several times while trying to watch a movie. I also had to reset the tv, (Samsung HD), every time I removed the darn thing.

If you want to watch a tv series, you might get the first or second episode free then you have to pay $1.99 for EACH subsequent episode. Or you can get a cable subscription and watch them by logging into the channels app. Which defeats the purpose of free tv as advertised.

Roku sent a free extender to pull the unit further away from the TV but that did nothing but decrease the streaming capabilities. Don’t waste your money. We got this to replace an old Roku 3... I miss it. :(

Unreliable!

The video signal keeps randomly shutting off. Could be a heat issue as the stick gets really hot after about an hour of tv watching. Whatever the issue is, it’s apparently a design flaw, because I’ve had two faulty units in a row.

Unfortunately this new model has a similar problem. If I unplug the stick and remove the battery it pairs but than when I turn on the TV the next time the pairing is disrupted. The Roku Apple App works just fine but that is not what I paid for.
