ROKU’s BAD automatic software update

An Automatic software update took away the picture but left the sound for every program. I did some trouble shooting online trying to find the problem and how to correct it. It’s a known issue with this update and there is currently no solution. I returned the ROKU to Best Buy. Disappointed and perturbed at the waste of time and hassle. This issue should be fixed, the offending update removed or the product recalled.

Does the job for a secondary tv
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is a decent entry device for a Roku but if you plan on using your tv a lot and want a quality roku experience, go with a higher end model of roku. This stick has issues at times where it will freeze up or lose sync with audio. I don’t use the tv it is on as much as my TCL Roku tv so it doesn’t bother me too much, but beware.

Replaced with Roku Ultra

Started overheating within 24 hours couldn't have it turned on for more than 10 minutes without it shutting down because it overheated. Wouldnt buy another Roku stick again! Will stick with an external box instead.

this equipment is very flacky.

This is one of a number of Roku devices I have had and most have had issues of some kind. It would be great to pay a little more and get a stable reliable device.

Didn't know it was going to be such a change and the way you have to add channels if you can add channels is not easy in the least. Seriously considering going back to cable and just keeping this in a spare guest bedroom and we bought 4 of these.
