Great for spectrum applications and smart televisions

It overheats and too expensive for a stick and I had purchased two roku sticks before years ago which never had this problem and it was less expensive

It’s a great and easy system. But the fact that it wouldn’t work with one of my older (5-year old) Dynex TVs with an ‘HDCP not-authorized’ message made me have to bring this baby back. The Dynex manual said my TV was HDCP compliant. But that wasn’t good enough for the Roku.

I like the Roku stick and box, their interface, and the price. But who designed this remote? The plastic piece that holds the battery door in place wears out fast, so you'll need to tape it shut before long. Later, the remote will stop working for no reason; time to switch the batteries? Un-tape the remote, only to find that the batteries still have a full charge after you remove and reinsert them. Re-tape the battery compartment and wait for the next time the remote randomly stops working. Thought this was maybe just a flaw with the unit I bought. Purchased another one and had the same thing happen. I have now moved to another streaming solution.

I don’t like this Roku stick it easily overheat. I haven’t finished watching of a 20 mins. Video it’s already been overheating.

I bought this stick for my sister for Xmas. Every time she tries to use it, it buffers. It never lets her watch anything. Because it is past the 30 days I am unable to return it. So I ended up buying her a fire stick. Very unhappy with my purchase.

Ui is great however the remote constantly stops working. Only solution is to pull batteries and that usually solves the issue. Quite annoying when you have to do it multiple times a day with new batteries in remote

I bought this stick for a Sony tv. didn't find out til I went online when I could not get the Roku app to sync that Roku and Sony do not talk well to each other! now I am stuck with the stick!

Have purchased two 3800R stick units and have had the remotes die on both. Most recent purchase just this past March to replace a 3600R device itself that went bad. GEEK coverage made me pay the difference to buy a 3800R because the 3600R was not available for coverage. Have now had to resort to using the phone APP to use the Roku 3800 R stick when the remote went bad. Roku support is not there unless you buy direct from them. If not for the phone APP I would have two useless 3800 R devices. Would NOT consider the 3800R at all or GEEK coverage. Seems to be a ROKU stick problem working with the remote since the sticks work fine with the phone APP.

I thought that it would have the ability to network as do the smart tvs. It does not without having to download additional software. Much better off buying a blu ray player. Disappointed in the software. Competitors firestick was much better IMHO

set up was great and everything else works fine. Netflix app doesnt work. its documented all over the place, tried everything including system reset, remove the app, reboot, install it again. returning it to the store and getting the Ultra one

I purchased 2 for 2 different rooms. One remote stopped working. Have replaced batteries, re-pared with module X 10+, others have tried, too. Hopefully the company will back this up. The other works OK, so I will recommend this product,

Maybe I got a dud. I have owned 5 other Roku devices, this is the only one that the remote just quits working whenever it wants. Been restarted, updated, batteries changed. Nothing helps. When it works it's great, but will not work consistently.

I have the Shield connected to living room TV and bought the Roku for our bedroom. The user interface on the Roku isn't as user friendly as the Shield in my opinion. Wish now I would have spent the extra money for the Shield.

Every 30 or 45 min. I get a notification that Roku is overheating. So I need to unplug it to let it cool off.

Roku is great, but the remote is the worst. It drains the batteries in just a matter of a few hours

The streaming stick was bundled with an ultra thin antenna, and this bundle did not have the features as advertised. When installed, the Roku menu would not display the antenna Live TV shortcut. Even though I have a new Smart TV, this bundle does not function without Roku brand TV or the Roku TV channel, which is another step. Even then, I do not get the local TV channels I wanted. After numerous communications with Roku support, I was told that this feature was only available with a Roku brand TV.

The roku is great you have to love being able to pause a show while you're in the bathroom or getting a snack the down side is that once your remote stops working you're stuck and have to buy a whole new set.
