This is my first experience with Roku or any streaming device, for that matter. Set up was easy. You just plug it into the back of the TV and then into the electrical outlet in the wall and then you just have to set up a Roku account on the computer. Use is also easy to figure out. Now I can stream whatever I want. My TV is now smart(er)!! Note, I originally bought the Roku that comes with a box but I returned it and got this one. I like this one better because it's just a stick that goes in the back of the TV and doesn't take up any space.

This device is amazing!!! I bought it today and I must say, I love it. It works great. There isn't any lag. I can use all the channels I want with it too. If you don't have a 4k TV, get this device. It is very easy to setup and even comes with batteries to power up the remote. My only problem with this device is depending on your TV, you may not be able to plug in this device. But, it doesn't matter, because you can fill out a form online to get a Free HDMI Extender straight from Roku themselves. All in all, a great device that I would recommend to anyone.

I used this on an old tv and and worked great. Was just like having a smart tv.

Replaced a Blue Ray Player, Hulu no longer supports streaming through this. ROKU product was easy to install, by ME! I can now watch the local news i have many more streaming options, which i like works Very Fast! Thanks to my Apple Valley Store GREAT recommendation, Very Nice option for me who doesn't want to pay monthly other than Netflix! ~* THANKS!! I LOVE MY BEST BUY SALES STAFF ~*

I got this to replace an older Roku express that worked but WiFi reception wasn’t great and it was a bit slow. I absolutely love the new model Stick. It’s very fluid and the easiest streaming player to use. The WiFi antenna is better than the Express as I don’t have the signal issues I used to. I like the power and volume buttons as this is the only input for the tv it’s on, so I only need one remote. Even having used the much more expensive Apple TV for a long time, I’ve grown to like the Roku better! Unless you have a specific need that another player fills, the Roku Stick is almost always the best choice.

We bought this for our tv in the bedroom. The stick is easy to install and setup however I personally find the system is very slow to load things and not just netflix but amazon as well. I tried this on our front tv to see if it were a location/wifi issue but it was slow in the living room as well

Decent product, but can overheat quickly if used for extended periods of time.

I've used a bunch of Roku' s over the years. The speed of this one can't be touched. Only a few 4k options available. The major services can be found everywhere, but do a search and there's some classic movies and channels worth checking out.

I already had this Roku device in my bedroom. I cut the cable cord last year and switched to just apps. The Roku is super easy to set up and navigate, so I got one for guest room also. Still pleased with these devices.

We switch to the Roku system from an Amazon fire stick. The fire stick was absolutely awful! It would freeze or randomly restart about twice a day. We have had ZERO issues with the Roku and we absolutely love it!!

Works better than expected. So well, we now have three in use. Recommend. Best Buy staff recommended this one over another brand. Thanks as a friend has other brand and he states it does not work well.

Terrible if you constantly stream/watch tv, the stick needa to be consistently plugged in and it over heats

This is great for cord cutting, puts all your streaming in one place with an easy to use interface to add and select. Just use the web site to pair and don't try to enter info on the Roku no keyboard makes this a pain. I could be wrong here but this does not have an IR remote. There is no infrared light that sends signals to the stick or tv. I had the IR model the Express and it turned on my blu-ray player and sound bar so I got this one that does not mess with those signals, also you can completely cover the remote with a blanket and it still works so IR maybe not. The only real complaint I have is when changing the batteries I broke the battery cover and Roku does not off the battery cover replacement part. So just be very careful when changing the batteries.

I bought this a few days ago to replace my 6 year old Roku stick. After several phone calls and spending nearly 4 hours trying to "activate" it because Roku was asking for "payment method" which I had no intention of giving them, I finally got a screen on my TV to select the channel I wanted. I was able to power up the TV with the Roku remote BUT impossible to power off the TV with the Roku remote. Their advertising specifically says - no more juggling remotes. WRONG, if you want to turn off the TV - grab your TV remote.
