Considering alternatives to cable/satellite sourced tv and Roku was one of several devices that could provide the link between tv set and internet. Roku Ultra rated among top streaming media devices by several different sources providing reviews of such devices. Easy to set up, navigation features convenient, app interfaces seem to be well defined. Overall very pleased.

I bought this Roku Ultra to compliment my new 4k tv. The tv is smart feature capable, but I didn't want to deal with it. Roku has all the apps that I want and it's so simple to use. Upgrading from an old, purple Roku dongle, from about four or five years ago, the Roku Ultra is awesome. It's really fast and the TV controls for power and volume make this the only remote you need.

Finally ditched cable tv and replaced two of my three tv's with Roku Ultra devices. Easy to use, great content options. I have had a few crashes but likely due to apps, not the device. I like the remote, although I wish it were a little larger, but it is easy to use and the buttons make sense. I also like having the volume rocker on the side. Overall, a very happy customer.

It also direct plays HEVC (H.265) content without the need to transcode. Most content and channels available, as compared to ChromeCast, Fire, or AppleTV. Voice search works great. Headphone jack in remote is awesome. This device is the best!

I have been a longtime fan of Roku and still have a second generation ultra model. This new one is much faster and doesn't reboot on me as the older one did occasionally. There are more channels/apps and I gave up keeping track of new ones that came out. I also like the direct Ethernet connection to keep things fast and reliable. That's what this little black box is.

My advice is get the Roku then subscribe to Sling TV. Sling gives you all the very popular channels into 45 channels. No need to pay for expensive cable.

I had the older model. This was easier to set up and is easier to use.

I got this to replace amazon fire stick that always seemed to skip/buffer when using apps. So far this is much better but I also hard wired it to make sure it got full Internet connection. The home screen is much more user friendly and I still get my prime content. It is also much faster than fire stick. No complaints so far but I've only had it for a few weeks.

Tired of cable and I was frustrated about having to pay for a service they didn’t give me what I wanted then a friend of mine said you should try doing Internet streaming TV I didn’t know a lot about it but somebody mentioned to me about Roku so I went to Best Buy and I found this Roku ultra I love it and I cut the cable and now I’m in control of my TV

The 4K Roku Ultra is great at streaming all your favorite shows! I realy like how it has an Quad Core Processor built inside. I so can't wait to see an Hex Core model come out! But back to the review. I don't have fast download speeds at times, but even with slower speeds it does well. All I can say is the faster speed of Internet that you can get, the better!

I’ve had several Roku devices this is the newest/best/fastest one for my new house. Best channel selection of any streaming device no major flaws.

This is a must have if you have a 4K tv. Phenomenal speed.

We love this, it saves us money every month. The only thing that takes time to get used to is there is no GUIDE like there is with Cable or Dish.

Roku is great for adding apps & entertainment to your television. This model is great for me since you can hardwire internet into via a Ethernet cable as well as using WiFi, hardwiring just keeps it running more stable. Also, this model has a headphone jack on the remote. This is a great feature because I can watch programs as loud as I want and not be disruptive.

I've had a couple of these for a few years. Perfect for accessing the streaming services that are essential to cutting the cord from cable. These allow you to use an ethernet cable, which I really love so that I'm not competing with other wifi devices, and allows for the best viewing experience

Easy to set up. Works well but more expensive than the Roku 3.
