When I recently upgraded to a 4K TV I knew I would want to eventually upgrade my Roku 3 to support the extra resolution. Increasing crashes sped my decision to upgrade. The Ultra is a bit bigger than the 3 and the matte black remote weighs more and feels a bit more expensive. Overall, the experience was not the upgrade I was hoping for. The picture quality didn't really improve in menus like I expected, though this is probably down to the apps themselves. 4K content is still limited, and I had some issues enabling HDR with my TV (Sony 900E). Voice search is also limited and doesn't work in most of the apps I have tried, only the main Roku search, which was disappointing. However, Roku still offers the most channels of streaming boxes currently on the market. If you are looking at upgrading from a 3 there isn't much of a performance difference. Older Rokus or Streaming Sticks will be more obvious. Overall, a good device, just not the revolution I was hoping for after several years of development.

I got a new TV and that was connecting wirelessly. Wanted to switch that to a Roku player to connect to the net and play Prime and Netflix and this does that job perfectly.

Finally upgraded from my Roku XD. This streamer works wonderfully. I love having the headphone jack on the remote. Easy to watch late at night without disturbing the wife.

Model of choice as I cut the cord on cable tv. Matched up against Apple TV, the Roku Ultra has all the same functionality, at far less of a cost. Great stuff and easy to setup.

Super easy to set up. I’m using it in my bedroom so they don’t have to connect to cable. Love all the alternative choices that you get as well as the main stream channels

Love the easy setup, reliability and response time. Use it with YouTube tv and direct now both easy to use, strongly recommend this product if looking for a streaming tip box

I have owned many a Roku device, this one is the best by far. Very fast, snappy. I love the TV and Volume control, Vice search controls and the Aquarium beautiful screensaver

I purchase this because i had problems using Sling Tv with a Chromecast. It has a great picture quality, but i was surprised about the sound improvement with true surround sound.

Perfect for cutting cable. We love the look of the Roku compared to other devices available. Easy set up, easy to use and great for recording shows/movies with HULU LIVE.

I have a second house and purchased this as I have internet only. Works great !!! Also have Roku and tried a few other devices but this one is really stable and easy to use.

I am very happy with my Roku it’s gives me channels that I couldn’t find on regular t.v. Nor cable service

Love my new Roku. Got rid of cable TV and bought this Roku and I never looked back. Works fantastic, ditched three remotes, and have all the channels I want with Hulu Live.

I really like the new Roku. Our old one could not accept any new updates. The new screens are easy to read. Like that the remote also controls the power and volume on the tv.

I’ve tried Appletv and now Roku ultra, they both have pros and cons. The Roku is more like aTV remote so it’s easer to use. The Apple is very sensitive and Causes you to make mistakes And have to go back. They could both be easer to figure out how to download and activate new apps.

I was skeptical to get rid of my satellite service at first but the Roku player quickly eased my suffering. Easy set up and to add new channels, it's a great value.

Roku ultra was easy to install and is user friendly. Keep it simple for us that aren't tech savvy. Great feature is that you can bring it with you where ever you travel.

I actually prefer the Ultra than the stick, but they work fantastic and I am very happy I don't have the high cable bills anymore. Streaming is definately the way to go

I've owned each of the streaming device except for the Apple TV and I have to admit Roku is the best. It has all the apps you need and the user interface is excellently designed. I also haven't run into any technical difficulties since I bought it. I hated not just being able to control my Chromecast Ultra with a remote control to go to different apps and what not. I had a lot of technical difficulties with my 4k Amazon Fire TV and the because of a dispute with Google the YouTube app on the platform was an enlarged phone app version. Going with Roku eliminated my problems and gave me the access that I needed.

The Roku is excellent for watching TV on my own schedule. There really are only a few channels I like but this way I can go back on my schedule and watch my favorites.
