I use them mainly to stream saved videos with the roku media player app, watch xfinity cable, youtube stuff. Easy setup, great selection of apps. Wireless connection works without freezing up, etc. Very pleased with the product. I did buy this one because of the digital audio output.

Great streaming media device

It's better than the Chromecast and offers a bigger variety of channels than the Chromecast. The only thing I don't like is that you have to hit the home button on the remote before turning your tv off. Otherwise, whatever show/movie you are currently watching will continue playing and continue to use your internet data even while your tv is off. I know from experience as we exceeded our monthly internet data the first month using the Roku. Even with this downside, I would still recommend a Roku over a Chromecast.

Perfect for cord cutters

This is the first Ultra I purchased, and I love it just like every other one. My favorite features include the TV control, and the remote finder. I'm also a firm believer that if you can hardwire something, don't use wireless, so I love that this has an ethernet port.
