Everything promised and more

I love the selection of channels the free channels and available other offers along with getting my Hulu and everything else I need. does a great job. I upgraded my Internet signal so I like it even more now that there is no buffering.

Best Streamer

Owned for 10 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have both Fire and Roku streaming products and find the Roku to be the better of the two. I like the wired vs wireless for streaming for both products however the Fire seems to require a reboot every now and then even when connected via wireless, which is a pain as my wife is totally none tech.

And - more movies than you'll ever have time to watch; yes, most of these are free too. Do install a memory chip; it's necessary to get the most out of this product.

Good Device

With this Roku you don't need the TV remote. The Roku does it all. The head phones are also a welcome addition. The one negative I have is that if you are fast forwarding or rewinding you can't follow on the screen to see where you are. You just have to guess. Additionally, I had to call Roku regarding a problem that developed with one of the apps and they were very helpful in resolving the issue.

The best part is you can plug in the earphones to watch TV. This is a good present for college kids who are in a dorm and don't want to disturb their roommate since they can plug in the earphones into the remote.

easy to set up, recommend buying a microchip

I wish i could use a keyboard to search, but you need a smart tv to do that. make sure you purchase and install a microchip, so your settings are remembered and don't have to constantly be imported.

The little black screen is all lit, Screen saver is a tropical fish scene serene. I don't know if you have a choice but it's pretty, I'm very happy with my roku for the guest room. yes!
