I'm very pleased with it. I've never owned a Roku before, so I can't compare between models. I purchased this primarily to access FilmStruck, but I find I'm using it to watch Netflix and other streaming services that I could easily watch via my Tivo or my smart TV.

Fast and smooth operation. Love the private listening option on the remote as well as roku android app. supports most streaming channels sans apple (of course) other brands give you brand lock in or other brand lock out - not roku, it supports most (not apple...)

We purchased this hoping to cut the cable, but actually seems, to us, more of a hassle to try and find what we want to watch. Also, found the live streaming didn't appear live and we couldn't find what we wanted to watch. It is hoked up and available but we haven't used it to its full potential, if there is one, since we bought it. I was able to negotiate with our satellite provider and are quite happy with our monthly bill.

Plug it in, connect to TV, set up your wireless connection and off you go. Make sure you have wireless AC and a high speed internet connection. Wireless N worked but it buffered constantly so a cat. 5 cable was necessary. Upgraded to wireless AC ending problems.

I am absolutely pleased with this device. I considered the Chromecast and Nvidia. However, this was what I needed. I was so happy with purchase that I went back and bought two more. All my streaming services in one place. The YouTube TV app sealed the deal.

This is by far the best streaming media player to date. It has so many free channels, its incredible. It also has paid channels to but you can choose what to keep and watch. Better than cable/satellite in my view. I would recommend this device to family and friends.

it has great display if you have Ultra HD 4K TV. Being from India, I am great fan of cricket and it is worth the money I spent as watching cricket has never been so awesome. I have regular HDMI cable. Maybe using Ultra HD HDMI cable will make more difference.

Roku does a good job with its setup of this device. Has all the apps you need.

Great for getting rid of the $200 a month cable bill. Several choices for getting "Channels." Some free ones, some with not much on them, others (like Hulu, SlingTV, and PS Vue) you'll have to check to see what fits for you. Drawback in the local channels. there is one "Channel" that has some local news but not the regular broadcasting. I haven't found (Nor looked...yet) a way to hook-up an air tv antenna.

So far i've been able to install apps for Youtube, Twitch, and MotorTrend OnDemand and watch just about everything i care to watch in full HD. I haven't even gotten to the subscription services and i'm already wondering why i didn't cut the cord sooner!

We cancelled cable and got one of these and it’s great. I love the headphone option.

I decided to give up the Spectrum digital box (@$9/month) and go with ROKU. Installation was easy following the step-by-step directions. It does take a bit more time to load and watch TV compared with Spectrum digital box, but it is still worth it. I hate to give Spectrum one more penny than necessary! I have recommended this product to several friends who are looking to cut their cable expenses.

I really like this new Roku player. We got it for the bedroom as we had cancelled cable. What I especially like about it, is the volume control. You can set it to keep the volume from going to loud. No more waking up to screaming infomercials!

This is the only version that comes with a wired option for streaming. If your wifi is outstanding with no issues, you can get some of the lesser ones, but if your wifi has problems or you need a wired connection, this is what you want to get.

Love ability to easily switch from Netflix to Philo to Vudu. Recommend.

I purchased the Roku Ultra for 2 reasons. First, I wanted to use Playstation VUE and my Samsung UHD Smart TV doesn't offer Playstation VUE. I don't have a Playstation game console either. Second, the Roku Ultra is needed with a 4k UHD TV. The Roku has worked very well. However, we miss not having previous channel recall, needing to return to the menu to go to the last station viewed.

This is a wonderful device that has changed the way we view our favorite movies, programs, and series. so many choices to choose from. haven't really watched a lot of TV other than sports. my wife thinks it's hers...Yeah it's that good

I bought this product to add to our master bedroom TV. We have a smart TV there but I prefer the expanded app selection available through the ROKU device. The phone app works well and you do not have to 'aim' at your device for it to work.

I like this system better than the other big competitor, but still has a learning curve since it is so different than the cable box system. Now that I have used Roku fo awhile I know I made the correct choice. All the local channels and a few other add-ons. I have cut my tv viewing bill in half. Upgraded router and internet speed, no problems with buffering, even with 4k video.

Great for all my streaming needs. Hands down the best device for streaming
