Bad product, horrible quality control, and useless customer service, that is if you can actually contact someone. Sent product back at least 3 times for hardware issues. Each time you have to send your product first and then you send your product. Once they receive your product they send you a new one 1-2 weeks later. After two years, even though I had the product replaced multiple times, they do not warrant a replacement. I take care of my products no matter the make and this company is shady. I do NOT recommend roku and I hope you heed my review accordingly. Thank you.

I purchased this Roku due to we could not find the old remote. I thought we could continue to use our phones but assumed there would be updates and purchasing updated version was reasonable. This unit did not work with TV and I have nothing but problems. Unfortunately I got rid of the old unit making this item useless with my tv. Lesson learned don’t wait until you cannot return item to install and try. This item may work well on a newer tv I’m not willing to purchase new tv just to see if that would be the case. Never had issue with Roku before this so for this product on my television I do not recommend but I do like Roku.

I have had this for many years now. I have the service through Spectrum. Performance has been outstanding. There is nothing i can't get. Reqular updates keep this unit up to date. I have all the features of a new model today and all the voice feathers that have come in only the new units and the new zuma.

I haven't been able to use my Roku yet as I haven't been able to get it hooked up! I need to get someone to help me with it, who isn't going to cost as much as the Roku itself cost. Will review again when that happens,

The Roku turned out to be unnecessary. All it does is pull all of your paid movie sites into one location. The Roku 'channel' does have some free movies, but they have commercials in them.

Roku was not as easy to set up and certainly not as easy to use. I’ve used other streaming devices that are much easier so not impressed. Still have to buy premium stations.

I use ROKU on everything. My cable is cut. My biggest complaint about this product the remote has NO MUTE option on the remote. I no longer use it because of that.

I tried two different Rokus as well as a Wifi built-in Bluray player and none of them would hold consistent Wifi signal in my bedroom, even though my iPhone and iPad do just fine. I would get drops of signal, constant buffering, and sometimes Hulu and Netflix wouldn't load at all. This Roku Ultra picked up the Wifi signal immediately and has never lost it. There is no buffering and the picture when streaming is crystal clear. Definitely worth the money.

Apps for google play, vudu, netflix are buggy and difficult to use. Often, the app crashes the whole unit and has to be restarted.

Not very compatible with my new 4K Samsung smart tv. Constantly get purple screen. Roku technical support is the worst.

I love Roku devices. I have three Roku TVs in my office, two Roku Ultras and a Roku Premiere at home, and had several early generation Rokus. All have been great, except this one. The Express is simply under-powered, slow to respond and can't handle channels such as DirecTVNOW consistently. I have reset this to factory and am giving it away on Craigslist.

Plays some streaming apps with no issues. However... A few streaming apps have issues.

Remote will not consistently pair with TV / main Roku unit. Incredibly frustrating.

I have multiple series of Roku players in my home. I have an older Roku 3, a Roku streaming stick, a new Roku Express, and now the Ultra. The Ultra is amazing! Smooth streaming picture on my 4K tv and it is crazy fast. Startup is instant. The voice feature is nice as well. It makes searching for that certain movie or show a breeze. I highly recommend this player.

I bought one and ended up buying another one for my other TV.

This streaming device has three features that make it exceptional: - the remote has a television power switch and volume controls - one remote for cord cutters. (I used it on a 2009 Sanyo and an old, very basic Coby TV - it identified the right codes for each) - I have used older Firesticks and Chromecast - this behaves much faster and is more stable. - the headphone jack - especially useful for the bedroom tv. I have found that when cord cutting for family use, it is important to have the same interface on each television. The Roku Stick and Stick + don't have the headphone jack, but do control the television power and volume, so you have choices at different price points. I also have a Roku Stick +, I am using it with DirecTV Now, Plex, Amazon Prime and Netflix.

I have had to warranty it out twice in about a year.

Love this little box, bought it in Jan of 2018, and it's still going strong. A tad bit sluggish with some of the larger streaming channel apps, like Netflix, Disney+ and Hulu, but it is 6 years old, so that's to be expected. There is a new model of this that is available, but my old one still works great, so I see no need to upgrade honestly. But if you do not have one of the newer models, or don't have a Roku at all, I highly recommend getting one, they are great.

Bad sound delay using 5.1 surround. Internet research shows this has been a bad problem with ROKU. It has not been fixed. Only fix I have found is put it on STEREO. Are you kidding me?

My Roku is stil, going strong 6 years later. It automatically checks for updates every other day. I can add channels and rearrange the lineup, so what I use most is up top. My screensaver is an aquarium so it is pleasing. I only stream now, and this is easier to use than the apple one.
