I got this because I kept losing one of the two remotes. I absolutely love this remote and cannot live without it. It took me a minute to learn the t.V controls on it, but after I did, it's easy and works great flip.It right over for roku.Absolutely love it.

This remote is great because it has the back light feature and the option to paint it went lost. I upgraded to this remote from the original one that came with the TV and I don’t regret it.

Wonderful upgrade for 30 bucks, no batteries to replace and the backlit buttons are super fun!! Wish they would make the quick app launch buttons assignable but maybe one day:)

Purchased because a major Roku tv software upgrade caused the original remote to become erratic. Appreciate the forced purchase! No batteries required, back lit and able to speak commands without touching. Highly recommend.

Great features...lighted keys. Accomplishes what we needed. light weight and durable

First, in general, I love Roku as a platform providing access to virtually every media streaming platform. I love the remote control, which connects wirelessly and does not rely on line-of-sight infra-red (although it also supports this to help control the volume and power to your TV). Specific to this remote; I love the backlight; it makes it much easier to see in low light. I love that it is rechargeable and uses the industry-standard USB-C connector. It saves on so many batteries. However, one of the main reasons the prior versions of the Roku remote would need lots of batteries was the really great feature of personal listening. This provided a headphone jack in the remote, allowing you to listen to your TV through headphones without disturbing everyone else. Powering the headphones and wireless audio transmission used the battery a lot more than just as a plain remote control. Initially, I did not see the need for personal listening, but after having it, I use it all the time now; unfortunately, this remote removed that feature, and hence, THE main reason for batteries running out quickly and the need for a recharge option. This remote offers a programable button to allow you to immediately select your favorite app or function. However... All Roku remotes come with four pre-configured buttons to launch Netflix and three random other apps that Roku gets paid to put on your remote. They are not reprogrammable, and as such, if you do not use those apps, the buttons are not just useless but annoying when you accidentally hit one, and it tries to launch the app you don't have installed. The version 1 of this remote had two programmable buttons that would immediately launch your selected app once programmed. This remote removes one of the programmable buttons from the previous version and replaces it with a "Guide" button, which encourages you to use the Roku TV guide and watch channels that Roku gets paid to advertise. The remaining "programmable" button that, previously, would immediately launch your preferred app now takes you to a second screen that again includes Roku options and one other option you might like, now making the button at least two or more presses to select the app, that you could probably do from the main menu as fast. The remote also includes the "remote finder" and "Voice search" that most previous remotes provided. So, the main benefit of this particular remote over other prior Roku remotes is the USB C charging, which is no longer essential as it removes the personal listening feature. I would not recommend this remote, but I would recommend prior versions of the remote, not this model. I still prefer Roku over other brands. I returned this remote. Thanks to Best Buy for the excellent customer service and return policy.
