It happened -- a notification appeared on the TV saying the remote was down to 10 per cent power, so I plugged it in for an hour, and we're done. No dead batteries to dispose of responsibly.

It came as Geek Squad recommended. Unfortunately it would know work properly. I obtained one at a Best Buy Store and it worked wonderfully. Its hard over the phone to get it right the first time.

The last Roku we bought the remote died. It seems like the remotes die after a year or so. I'm hopeful this will last longer. Otherwise so far it works great.

My husband bought this and I didn’t think we needed a new remote. It has worked better than expected. It will turn on closed captions through the voice command and that makes it easier for me to watch TV without have to find the setting in the labyrinth of options.
