I put in new ones it worked perfect. I have no idea why they were dead but after new ones it worked like it was supposed too. Things happen but very happy with it.

If you're having trouble with your Roku remote, try these steps: First, reset your Roku remote by pressing and holding the pairing button at the back of your remote for 20 seconds. If your remote doesn't have a pairing button, press and hold the Back and Home buttons for 20 seconds. But Roku did not fix the most glaring issue and that is the lack of control of external audio devices like an AVR! Come on Roku! Also, turning on and off subtitles is a pain, you have to leave the app you're in to go to system settings. Nice update of remote, now work on system updates.
