This album perfectly captures the middle ground between what they did before with the more pop-oriented 'fab' sound and the coming psychedelic and sophisticated compositions they'd be known for. It's an amazing blend of the 2 phases of the Beatles. Literally the turning point and you can hear it.

I had the vinyl album in the 60s and was surprised to discover I didn't have the CD. Definitely a must for the Beatles collection.

In my opinion the 2nd best Beatles album and 2nd best album of all time, Rubber Soul has seemingly endless playback. It expands upon soundscapes of rock (Drive my Car, Run for your life), simple yet haunting tunes (Michelle, Girl), and some songs that just leave everyone breathless (In my Life, You Won't See Me). From the up-beat solo of drive my car to the beautifully set harmonies of Girl the album never ceases to impress and belongs in every Beatles fan, no, every music-lover's library.

What a joy to see and listen to! The packaging is great and the sound- clean, crisp and clear! I've listened to this on vinyl, 8-track, cassette and CD. This is far and away the best version available! Everything just sounds better! I'll be replacing all my Beatle CD's with these new remasters. Worth every penny! Maybe one day the mono versions will be available individually.
