This review is for the Orchid Gray color. I splurged on the Samsung case because you could stand up the phone horizontally which is great for viewing videos. When open, the phone does not slide off. It stays in place very nicely. Unfortunately the volume control in under the bottom edge of the phone so you have to open it up to increase/decrease the sound. I would have given it a 5 star rating if you had the ability to take pictures without having to open up the case. My Samsung Note 4 case did that and it was very convenient. Colors limited to Black or Orchid Gray, neither of which is very exciting.

This is a nice case for your Samsung galaxy note 8.the extra padding on the reverse side of the front flap gives an added assurance that you will receive minimal scratches on the screen.if I could change only one thing it would be the placement of the finger print scanner on the phone...the case I would not change anything.i love how I can answer a phone call with out even opening the case.

It has a nice feel to it when you hold it, very reliable and awesome look to it.

This case is durable for someone who drops a phone a lot, such as my 16 year old son. The phone doesn't fall out. He's able to flip the front open and type on the screen for his games. It stays in using a magnet and can flip either way.

Product looks great,nice packaging, Samsung Original etc.with it being a Samsung product they don't give the product away, which is fine you get good quality products from Samsung.I made a special trip to go and pick up a nice case for my Note 8 ,Just went to put the new case on my phone and guess what the case in the box is for Galaxy S8+ no way will my phone fit into that way to small of a case.Now another 60 miles round trip to take the case back and hopefully get the correct case that I already paid cash for.A good 2 hours of my day spent on a mistake that should not of happened in the first place.

First let me tell you guys I am Big Samsung fan. I have a Galaxy S8 and bought this Note 8 for the camera feature, and specs. Anyway let us not get side track, if I compare this cover with the Note 4 cover, this adds a lot of bulk to the phone. 2x the phone size Pros: 1. I got a black cover since my phone is black - Nice slick cover 2. Good phone protection but not sure if phone gets out of case when dropped ( not doing it to test for this review unless Samsung gives me a phone to test ). 3. Turns of phone screen when cover is closed. 4. Nice Fit 5. Ports, power button, volume up and down arrow keys, headset, speaker, easily accessible. 6. Made of Good plastic 7. Now I have a mirror as an added feature 8. Can answer phone calls when cover is closed. Cons: 1. Adds bulk to the phone. The phone thickness is now double when cover is on. 2. No software to configure display when cover is closed. 3. Cannot activate camera when cover is closed (compared to note 4 cover) 4. Not sure how long the top cover will last with out lots of scratches. 5. Fingerprint reader on back of phone not accessible when cover is opened. Need to open cover half way open and need to use right hand as the cover opens from right to left. Need to use irs scanner or pin to unlocked phone. Hope this review helps. I bought this cover at Best buy for 59.99 + tax. Not sure if I will keep it because of the thickness and accessibility to the fingerprint reader when cover is closed. If price was $30.00 perhaps I would not think twice of returning it.

This cover offers great phone protection, fits the phone well & the tent stand feature works great for hands-free viewing. However, I prefer the design of the S-View cases I had for my Note 4 and Note 5 phones over this new design. This design is more bulky, I don't like the time display format, it is harder to handle when taking pictures, and the material seems slippery. I have already dropped my phone once onto a tile/stone floor but the phone was not damaged so it does offer good protection. I have already passed the allowable return date so am unable to return the case but am considering possibly purchasing the LED Wallet Case in the near future.

I was originally looking for a wallet style case for my Samsung Note 8, but none was available at the time. An employee recommended this case, so I got it. Best purchase ever, I love the case. Was unsure when I purchased it. I love the see through front. I can see the time and notifications without opening it. Puts my phone to sleep when I close it. Fits great and everything is accessible. Only negative's are the cost, a little on the pricy side and the way the cover picks up fingerprints and smudges. Still well worth it in my opinion. Will definitely recommend!

I usually do not do cases because I am naturally careful. I never accepted the things "just happen" proposition. Until...two weeks after purchasing my Note 8 I was attacked by fire ants. During my overreaction, my phone fell from my shirt pocket. The next day I took a trip to Best Buyand purchased the case. I like the fold over aspect, which becomes a stand. The display is fully functional and it is convenient to respond to calls without opening up. I fully recommend because it is attractive, functional and things do happen.

I love these cases. They aren't cheap but I have found them durable. The entire front and back of the phone is protected. You do need to be a little careful with the edges though, as they are exposed. I also really like being able to see notifications without opening the case. Only real disadvantage is the front of the case does scratch a little easily. Not a big deal for me.

I have always loved the S View cases. And this one doesn't let down. It has a sleek snap in for the phone, and just like it's predecessors, it offers convenience and also keeps your screen protected at the same time. It is very user friendly. Looks amazing as well.

I like this case. Its got a cool cover that takes nice advantage of the always on display on the Note 8. It seems to protect it enough for my needs. It most notably is super easy to remove and put back in the case. Great if you have a VR headset.

Love love love this case! The time and date appear on the front and incoming calls can be answered or declined without opening up the phone case. It's convenient to talk with the case closed. Modern looking and very sleek.

There are a lot of perpetrators on the market but this official case is worth the money. Protects your Note 8 while allowing AOD and notifications to be seen while closed. Can wirelessly charge with this case on.

The case fits the Note 8 perfectly and looks sharp. Offers good protection for the screen and nice to be able to check notifications without having to open the cover. Reason for 4 is that it collects fingerprints.

so if you are looking for a case that you can drop 20 feet and run over with a car this is not your case. However if you want a cast that makes the note 8+ easier to hold onto and use this case is perfect. the see through front cover allows you to see your time and answer or reject calls without having to open the cover. I am able to put the zag curved glass sheild on it and then into this cover without popping off the cover which is difficult with most of the covers on the market right now. so for a convenient slim looking professional look this case fits the bill.

Very fine product. Elegant. Comfortable to use and, at the same time, provides protection for the phone. The front of the case is wonderful.

Case is perfect for my new note 8 ! Easy handling, and protects my screen. Love the fact that you don't have to open the case to use phone !

The usual outstanding quality from Samsung. I had a similar case for my Note5 but this is even better because it has built in stand.
