Hate or Love It‚ no in-between...
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not so quite sure what I would classify this game. While playing‚ there's some moments but I really do enjoy the battle segments on it. It's really a hit or miss‚ I'd recommend watching a gameplay video on YouTube before deciding to pick this one up.

Dating Sim/Warriors Game
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was hoping for more of an RPG, but what I got was a dating simulator with a Warriors like game on top of it. No customization, no equipment, not RPG like elements.

Only for the fans of the series
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Only enjoyable if you are a fan of the series. Its also pretty misleading about its genre of JRPG. Its just a Visual Novel with combat elements. The Combat Elements are worse than a Dynasty Warriors game and the characters are really generic but I did enjoy the conversation system that they implemented in the game.

Boring
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for my wife and, although she's very much into jrpgs, she quickly got bored with this game. The battle system leaves a lot to be desired.

Great execution on a Lukewarm script
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a Sakura Wars fan for over 15 years, I have played previous episodes 1 through 4. I'll try to be as unbiased as possible. Pros: The (new) Sakura Wars PS4 has preserved tons of features of what made the series great: namely, LIPS system, dating sim, adventures, battle system. The execution on visual is also near perfect with tons of details. Although they used a great amount of original soundtracks, they are still enjoyable as ever. The length of the story seems long enough and CG anime adds details which made the whole game fruitful. Cons: As other people have mentioned, the relationships developed too fast which makes it a little shallow, although it gets better as the game progresses. The battle system is too easy for my taste (and comparing to previous series). Some character setup (how they look, age and dress) seem a bit out of place. Also, if you have played Persona before, the whole system would remind you of that game too. Overall a good game and I'm so glad they introduced it to PS4. For fans it's not perfect, but it's engaging enough for me to jump back in a heartbeat.
