Not bad, worth the price (sale)
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would give it 3.5 stars to be exact, lol. I got it for 140 on sale, but the retail isnt too bad. Very basic computer, should be just great for simple users like me. Only Cons as of now are the keyboard, and charging port. The rest of the laptop feels nice and sturdy, but keyboard feels a bit cheap, and the charging cord is thick, but with the very tiny pin to plug into the laptop. The cord feels like a poor choice to skimp on quality. Still a pretty good deal.

Definitely NOT a near 5-star product!

It's very slow and choppy, and the screen resolution is dim and grainy. I had hoped that a Chromebook would make a good, inexpensive laptop alternative, but it is getting annoying in terms of functionality. A new app or extension is needed to do all sorts of routine tasks from opening certain files or messaging. Also, I have yet to figure out how to get this to print using anything but a Google cloud-enabled printer. I have been sending my files by email to other devices that actually print cooperatively with my HP printer. Overall, this is a great internet toy for facebook and email -- something that would be great for a 12-year-old who doesn't have an iPhone yet. But for adult productivity and versatility, this is frustratingly limited. Sure - the cost is low, and I imagine expectations should be in proportion to that. In sum, an inexpensive product that doesn't do what you need it to may save you money upfront, but the costs incurred in terms of time wasted and general frustration are hardly worth it. My advice: get a real laptop.

Samsung Chromebook qyestionable

The item did arrive on time. I purchased the item for my 10 year old for her school work. Upon receiving the item we attempted to set it up and proceeded to charge the item. To our disappointment the item would not charge screen turn black and the light at the charger port did not even turn on. I called bestbuy and the representative adviced me that there was nothing that they could do, and I just have to return it to the store to get a new one. I waited for the delivery that arrived after Christmas. Now I have to go to a store to return this item. Such an inconvenience and a disappointment. I read a few reviews regarding this same issue. I guess I am in the 1% who is having problems with this item.

Good Chromebook, if it doesn't have problems

Yesterday the mouse trackpad stopped working, this was very annoying but I was still able to manage some because of a Bluetooth mouse. This morning I opened it up and it would not connect to wifi. I do not know if I have a faulty or some other problem, but I think I will be taking it back some time soon,

Very Disappointed in this CB!

Thought it would be great for them since all they do is email, facebook, and play games! We plugged it in right away when we got it, I wanted to get it set up for them before we gave it to them. Anway...got them logged in, and added some bookmarks. Then shut it down, and it won't turn back on! Called Google support, and they gave me some trouble shooting tips. But nothing worked. So they transferred me to Samsung support. I talked to them and nothing they had me try helped either! They wanted me to return it for repairs. Are you kidding me?? It is brand new! Not happening. This CB is going right back to Best Buy. Very disappointed, but glad that I figured this out before I gave it to my parents, who would have thought it was something they did to cause it.

DO NOT BUY!

After less than a week of use (maybe 10 hours) one of them would no longer turn on. The other, the mouse pad stopped working. The one that no longer turned on we sent to Samsung for repair. Evidently, the screen became damaged during shipping and they refuse to repair it. Samsung sent us TWO different sets of photos of the "damage." They claim that we packaged it insufficiently....not true! How in the world does a screen get damage if there is ZERO marks, scratches, dents, etc to the rest of the Chromebook. We have examined it thoroughly upon its return. So, that seems to me to be a serious quality issue if the screen can be damaged in transit without ANYTHING else being damaged AND the chromebook stops turning on for NO REASON. Long story short. Loyal Samsung Customers who will NOT be buying another Samsung product...ever! BUYER BEWARE!

Blocks everything

I have been playing this game called habbo hotel for the longest and every laptop i have had NEVER BLOCKED habbo and if it did i could of easily unlocked it. It keeps saying your connections is not private. IT SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!
