Great Price Easy setup
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first Chromebook. I realized that about 90% of what I do on a computer is all online in the cloud. I wanted a small unit to go along with my desktop which I use for simulation. This was an easy unit to set up, many of the things on my desktop were easily loaded onto the Chromebook. Battery life is excellent.

Even at a Black Friday Price- I cannot recommend
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is actually a revision to a previous Samsung Chromebook 3. I have now owned both I honestly feel like the previous model ran better and slightly smoother/faster. Everything loads slowly. Graphics on webpages in chrome, text-entry fields in webpages, etc. You will repeatedly click hyperlinks because you won't be sure if your click registered or if this chromebook is just "thinking about it". The screen is borderline unusable. The off-axis viewing is such that if you're +/- a degree or two from center, you lose all color. Seriously. If you're not looking almost directly at the center of the screen it will wash out and at extreme angles the colors will appear inverted. The speakers are on the bottom of this- so if you use it in bed with this chromebook propped up on your legs you'll dampen all the audio. The build quality is like one greyish colored plastic brick. Feels cheap. Keys feel wobbly. Charging port feels cheaply designed with a fragile and thin charger. This is wack. 100% wack. Cannot recommend.

Basic
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great personal computer for slight personal use. It was appropriate for easy every day browsing, creating documents and zoom functions. My only dislike is that the software expires after three years; but, the hardware is still in excellent condition. Best little computer I've ever owned.

Great starter laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first laptop and though it is not a super crisp HD screen laptop, I still love it much more than my tablet. I mostly bought it so I can have a computer with me when I travel. I have not gotten the chance to use it very much as my schedule is busy, but I have enjoyed it when I do have the chance.

Two machines don't work out of the box
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for my pre-teen's Christmas since all of her school work is not only computer-based, but Google products based. I have absolutely no knowledge of Chromebooks, so keep that in mind. First, the screen quality is pretty laughable, but for the Black Friday price and who it's for, it'll do. My major issue with this machine is that straight out the box, I had charging issues. It seems that the only way to get it to hold the connection with the charger is to plug it in on a desk and NOT MOVE THE CORD AT ALL. The slightest movement will cause it to disconnect. I don't mean the cord comes out of the port. It's still in there, it's just that the slightest rotation of the plug or any movement at all breaks the charging connection. Thinking this mustn't be right and that's not how charging brand new electronics should work, I exchanged it for the same product. The second Samsung Chromebook had the SAME ISSUE, only slightly worse!! It's not feasible to have a device that you have to create the perfect setup just to charge and forget trying to use it while charging. These are brand new products. They should charge like champs! I'll try with one more and actually check the charging in-store, but this is ridiculous. I'm not asking for miracles. I just want it to plug in the charger and have it charge the machine without disconnecting until I physically remove the plug. If the plug is in the charging port, it should charge. Right??

Regardless of Hardware Chrome OS sucks
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Chrome operating system on laptop or chrome Box is VERY LIMITED in what you can do with it. Most apps for it are very limited also. Sorry I bought mine (HP chrome Box). For online browsing and google apps it is OK But will not connect to my NAS or printers. No good graphics programs for it. Used it to make this post .:'--':.
