Not for everybody
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am not the smartest guy, when it comes to tech anymore. I didn't realize this was NOT Windows. Not for me, but I'm sure some would like it. This explains why Chromebooks are so much cheaper. Now I know

A Mac what?
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'll admit Apple Products in general do last a long time but are extremely overpriced, and at times overrated. Hence why I'm sitting here typing on a poor mans Macbook. I wanted something besides Windows since i have a gaming Desktop and a large HP Laptop. Also a nice little 11.6 inch Acer Chromebook that's getting a little age on it. And doesn't have Google Play support. I was pleased to see this online, and then going to see it for myself in the store. I was shocked at how much it looked(s) just like a Macbook from the 2015-16 or so period, or earlier. And tested it out, and was really impressed with the performance in the store. My internet is around 250mb speed, so it's even faster than what was at BB. Setup was under 2 minutes (literally), and everything went smooth. I had two friends say hey how did you afford a Macbook? I said well it was only $299, of course when they saw the Samsung logo, they were stunned. And what can you do with a MB that you can't do on this? Well unless you're into heavy video editing, music recording/producing and heavy Photoshop type apps, NOTHING really. These are just made with "cheaper" parts, and processors, so they cost less. And as no one would know the difference by looking at it, well there you go. The screen is a bit meh for a 1080p display, but is bright and it's not horrid or anything. The speakers are great, though not nearly as loud as the small Acer i have which are hands down the LOUDEST speakers I've ever heard on any laptop. But these are plenty loud enough. The keys are good and I can type around 70wpm give or take because i'm use to typing on a smaller device. In which case i can get near 90 wpm. But this is very responsive, just not overly so. Also the track pad is smooth as silk, and quiet with no clicking, like many models out there, especially Asus and Acer, and it's spot on with gestures etc. One gripe is Chromebooks not having any way to shut off the trackpad using the keyboard. If so I'd love to know how. But I try to type with my hands raised up and that solves the problem. So overall this is the best Chromebook I've ever used. And i've tried out many, and took them back. So if you want a poor mans Macbook this is it, sure it only has a Celeron Dual Core CPU, but the 4gb of DDR4 make it very snappy in working together with it. So good job Samsung, I wish i'd seen this earlier it would have saved me from about 4 other ones (brands) that ended up being junk. But now i'm very pleased and i hope this lasts as long as the great built quality feels like it will. For $299, it can't be beaten. Oh yeah for it's appearance wow this thing is ultra light!!

Bought buy mistake. Not a PC laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not happy with this product, to hard (different) to use from a regular pc laptop. Thought I was buying a laptop but it is anything but that. My bad I didn't understand what I was getting. I'm a window base user for 40+ years and wish I had taken it back while I had the chance. I'm not in on the whole cloud experience and will need to be retrained to use this. No delete button, No caps lock, Haven't spent to much time due to frustration of the difference between a chromebook & Pc laptop. Bought on impulse. My bad. Any buyers out there?

Overall not impressed.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wasnt very impressed with PC. It was glitching when I first opened it and set it up and it continues to. Certain apps shut down the chromebook completely and the screen goes black but is still on.

computer
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was pretty much a impulse buy. I should have compared computers more. It's pretty slow compared to what I was using, just not what I was expecting.

Not reliable
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased as an open box item. It still had some issues ie: scrolling wouldn't stop scrolling. Keyboard often locked up and I had to shut it down and reboot... a couple of other issues. Additionally, Chrome seems to be incompatible with a label maker that I use. So overall, the item was not a reliable machine and when it was running it would not run a program I need so, not useful.

Chromebook DOA and vaporware charge
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Went to store to purchase Chromebook was informed by salesperson that all of BB and bb.com was out of inventory. So I called the 800 number and was able to purchase through bb.com -Product was dead on arrival. Returned it to the store next day for credit. Discovered I was still owed $30 for free vaporware security software that was included with purchase. Spent two days with bb.com clearing that off my credit card. Not a good experience!

Refurbished junk
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have ordered 2 of these now and both where broken. And I no longer have the box. What a waste of money. Yes this is a cheaper laptop so that mean Best buy only sells broken ones. I was getting this for my mom, in hopes that the simplicity of the computer would make it easier for her. I didn't realize I was buying junk and it's upsetting that Best buy would sell it like that. Even if it is refurbished. So refurbished for Best buy means broken.

||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Battery died within a couple of months of purchase and would not charge. It took about a month to have the battery replaced under samsung warrenty. Battery died a second time just outside the 1 year warrenty. I've given up on the big paperweight.
