    I had bought a new TV for my parents and my father was having trouble hearing it. He was always turning the volume way Up. This provided much better clarity than just the TV speakers so he now does not need to turn it up so much. I had originally bought bookcase speakers (thinking he would like a speaker closer to where he sits) but he preferred this system to the bookcase system.
