does amplify the sound and balance in room

Could be my lack of expertise to properly setup strategically between sound bar and woofer?

Okay sound

The bass had a great added depth to my audio, however the sound bars audio is little to no different than the speakers in my tv. Not satisfied with the product.

Thank you for purchasing this Samsung HW-M360 Soundbar System. I am sorry to hear that you were not completely satisfied with its low volume.
Please check the connection between the Soundbar and other source devices, and try the following tips that may help improve the volume level.
1. If the Soundbar is connected to a TV thru HDMI, make sure to use the HDMI-ARC jack on the TV and select “External speakers” as the TV sound output.
2. Check the audio output format sent to the Soundbar. Typical options are PCM, Dolby Digital, and Bitstream. Select the option that optimizes the sound from your source.
3. Change the SOUND MODE on the Soundbar using the Soundbar’s remote. Choices are STANDARD, MUSIC, CLEAR VOICE, SPORTS, or MOVIE. Select the appropriate mode for the individual room acoustics.
4. Turn on Dynamic Range Control. This is done by pressing and holding the SOUND MODE button on the remote control while the Soundbar is in standby mode.

Disappointed

One day I had it up a little louder but not maxed out, and it just shut off when the action started. I've had it for 4 months and it will not stay for an entire movie anymore no matter what volume it's on. I've trouble shooted and have gotten no where. I cant even use it. First bad review of a Samsung product.

Good sound when working properly

Tried turning it off then back on to reset but does the same thing. The volume doesn’t change in the display screen when this happens.

Took advice from a floor salesman

Sound i ok but nothing like a sound bar i have for $25.00 more. And i'm using three remotes for the Samsung TV and Sound Bar. I'm sure i can SYNC but i'm a slow tech learner.

Thank you for your review of the Samsung Audio Soundbar HW-M360. I am sorry to hear that you had some control issues with this soundbar
Please know that you can you can adjust the Soundbar’s volume using the IR remote control
that came with a Samsung TV.
To adjust the volume using only the Samsung TV remote control, press and hold the Surround
button for more than 5 seconds until “SAMSUNG-TV REMOTE” appears in the Soundbar display.
Each time the Surround button is held for 5 seconds, the mode switches in the following order:
“SAMSUNG-TV REMOTE” (Default mode) → “OFF-TV REMOTE” → “ALL-TV REMOTE”
Please refer to the diagram drawing of the remote in your User Manual (page 15 "REMOTE CONTROL"). Then refer to pages 17 for further details

Just OK

So every time a commercial came on I had to adjust the volume or put up with loud commercials. I returned it after a few days. It was easy to setup and sounded OK for the cost.

Not what I expected

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung Wireless Rear Loud Speakers. I am sorry to hear that you did not experience the full potential of the surround sound system.
Please know that by design, the surround speakers are supposed to simulate sounds happening behind the viewer. Therefore, most of the time the surround channels are only used for ambient sounds, which are naturally lower in volume.
However, there are a few settings you can change to adjust the surround effect to your preference:
1. Make sure that the source (e.g. TV output) is sending surround channels to the Soundbar. If the source is not surround, then set the Surround mode to OFF on the Soundbar by pressing the Surround button on the remote.
2. If the source has surround channels, select the desired Sound Mode from the Soundbar remote. Choices are STANDARD, MUSIC, CLEAR VOICE, SPORTS, or MOVIE.
3. Turn off Dynamic Range Control. This is done by pressing and holing the Sound Mode button while the Soundbar is in standby mode.
4. Increase the volume level of the surround speakers using the Sound Control button on the Soundbar remote control.

Occasional sound distortion

(We are confident the problem is not in the transmission as other tv sets in our home do not have this problem.)

Nice price/okay sound/no bass

I am sorry to hear that you were not completely satisfied with its sub-woofer sound performance.
As the subwoofer is designed to pick up and amplify the low frequency sounds (from the right/left speakers), for example, the rumbles of an explosion, you won’t always hear it working.
To test if the sub-woofer is working properly, we recommend you play a blu-ray or UHD DVD movie with plenty of explosions, and place your hand on the subwoofer. You should feel vibrations as the unit receives and transmits the incoming audio from the content.
Another good test is to play music content with deep bass via Bluetooth connection, as it is not dependent on “effects” decoding.
