Replaced a 5 year old Yamaha bar without sub because I was constantly having to rewind to make out what characters were saying. The Samsung was about the same price as the Yamaha but includes wireless sub, sound is crystal clear and it plays very loud. Great to use with Spotify on iphone too via Bluetooth. Set up was simple too, connected main bar via optical audio cable that came in the box. Overall very pleased with purchase.

I bought this product from my local Lynnwood best buy store. I was unsure whether to buy LG Sj4 or this one since they both were in same price range. LG was loud but the quality of the sound was not as great as Samsung. While staying in my budget I chooses this one and very pleased with it. Since i don't have a wireless option in my TV i hooked up through digital audio, sound is clear and great quality. I downloaded the Samsung audio app on my phone and hooked up the bar through BT no need the another remote as well. Great product with a decent price.

Just what i needed to give me a more theater sound to my 65 inch-Samsung 4K TV!!!! You can not go wrong buying this sound bar and the best part about it, i got it on the Black Friday sale!!!!!!!!!!!! What a buy! I'm very much satisfied!!!

I love good sound. I have a VERY VERY expensive setup in my living room. I have full surround on my patio. I just love good sound. I was getting ready to go all out again for my bedroom and decided I would give this a try. I felt if it didn’t work out, I would use it for my garage. To my surprise it is pretty good for our bedroom. First movie was Jurassic Park, Fallen Kingdom played from my Apple TV. It was more than I thought it would be and I’m glad I purchased this unit.

Hooked up my LG flatscreen to this Samsung soundbar via the included TOSLINC / optical cable. The subwoofer connected to the soundbar via bluetooth just by plugging in the power cords. Very easy setup. Sound is much better than through the anemic TV speakers. Perfect for kids shows and the dialogue in movies. If I want to listen to concerts / music, however, I listen through my significantly more capable stereo system.

Well, after reading all the positive reviews, and not at all happy with the standard speakers on my 55” Samsung UHD TV, I decided this would be a simple and inexpensive route to better sound quality. The sound is in fact, quite a bit louder and much fuller than the TV speakers. The sound is customizable, it has audio synch adjustments, and the setup with the included optical audio cable takes only a few minutes. So far, so good. First problem noted is that speech on many TV shows is only marginally better than the muddy built-in speakers. Better? Yes, but not that much better. Music is fine, and the subwoofer works well and syncs automatically. So now I had a much richer muddy sound. Next problem was that my remote would no longer work, since the soundbar effectively shields the IR sensor from the remote. I could walk up to the set and point the remote directly at the sensor, but that's the only way it worked. The solutions are to wall mount either the TV or the soundbar, or build up a base for the set on its console. The last issue, which really put me over the edge, was the audio sync. It was way off, with lip movement and voices never quite matching. The audio sync function allows a 0-300ms range of adjustments, but none on the negative side which is what was needed. So, since I was unhappy with the voice clarity, the audio synch, and the blocking of my remote functions, I decided that Best Buy needs this more than I do.

I had tried a Bose sound bar and was very disappointed. Then I got the Samsung that matched my new 4k Samsung tv. It hooked itself up in 2 minutes with no fuss and it sound fantastic. Plenty of bass to go around. The sound is perfect and I have no complaints at all. I am going to get the 2 rear speakers to go with this sound bar.

I gave it 2 stars because it was easy to set up and worked when turned on, sort of. I hooked this up to a Samsung 40" 5003 that's about 6 months old with the supplied optical cable. Its in a large room with 9ft ceiling but we only sit about 10ft from the TV and sound bar. Sound quality was improved but sound quantity is dismal. With an alleged 200watts, I was hoping for some ear splitting volume. No such luck. Volume output is no better than the poor speakers that came with the TV. My 32" Vizio in the living room blows this sound bar away in volume output and it has no sound bar and I sit 15-20ft away from it.

I did months and months of shopping. I listened to numerous soundbars and sub-woofer combos (2.1 only) in many different stores. I didn't want to spend more than $175 dollars since I just wanted to boost the sound out of my TV. When I received this product, it was way better than I expected. Until you actually hear it in your own home, you can never really know what kind of sound quality you will get. The sub-woofer is rich and deep. It has always stayed connected via Bluetooth. The soundbar itself provided more surround sound effects than what I was expecting. No crackling at loud volumes, always clear, and always easy to control via the remote control. If you are looking at not spending a ton of money and getting great sound, this Samsung - 2.1-Channel Soundbar System with 6.5" Wireless Sub-woofer is what you are looking for. Amazing!!!!

I got this on sale for 149.99. Great price. After reading the reviews and seeing mostly positive comments, I decided to buy it online without hearing it first. That was a mistake. I was expecting a lot more than what I ended up with. I was very disappointed with the sound. Yes, it is better than the sound you get from the tv, but that's about it. I thought it was underpowered and lacking in bass. I could turn it up to maximum volume and still talk to my wife with no problem. I returned it. I don't get how there are so many reviews of how great this sounds. I've heard computer speakers that sound better than this unit. If you aren't very picky about your sound quality, then maybe this unit will work for you. If you just want better sound than your tv, then you might be happy with it. I personally like a rich bassy sound that fills the room. This unit does not do that.

Works well once set up correctly. Got on a sale so was a nice deal.

I carefully read all the manuals, Samsung TV and Soundbar, and have the system installed and setup correctly. As in my title, the sound quality is pretty good. HOWEVER, if this is a 200w amplifier I'll eat my shirt. I've had amps and external speakers dating back to original stereo systems back in the 60s. I've had lots of amps, from 100w to 1000w, and matching speakers. This thing at volume 100 isn't loud at all, and I'm not talking heavy metal loud either. Now I wish I'd gotten the 300+ watt model. If you want loud, get a more powerful system.

I bought the Samsung 65" NU8000 and wanted a sound system to go along with it. All I can say is WOW! The sub woofer has some very deep bass. I was skeptical of buying an open box (return) but it was guaranteed "excellent" condition and it was. All items were still wrapped in protective plastic etc... The remote is basic yet well thought out. I appreciate the minimal menu notification when using volume or bass on the sound bar.

Great soundbar. Sound good and the wireless subwoofer is thunderous.

The speaker sounds fine, interfacing between the TV and soundbar is awful, can't use my Samsung un65ks8000 remote to control the volume even though the remotes are identical. Have spent hours with Samsung on the phone to learn that it can't receive inputs from more than one source. Their solution? Use the HDMI arc connector. This soundbar doesn't have one. It is incredibly frustrating that my 2016 Samsung TV and 2017 Samsung soundbar cannot interface with one another. Would never recommend this product to anyone.

Purchased for use in a bedroom. Sounds great! Wireless subwoofer is a HUGE benefit - placed mine behind the headboard of the bed and it fills the room nicely with bass. No soundbar is a replacement for a true 5.1 or 7.1 system, but this gives an adequate surround-sound effect, far better sound than TV speakers, and the ease of install and setup makes it a no-brainer, especially at this price. And it includes the digital optical cable - Score!

I just had this installed earlier today and works super well. It sounds amazing.

Subwoofer did not immediately hook up ... I followed directions to manually perform the operation ....good thing I am a persistent ...it didn't work the first time, the second time, the third time on and on ,,,finally hooked up and has stayed hooked up. However, my biggest complaint is the fact that the soundbar drops out at times when utilizing digital tv. I have found a fix to this on my own but I don't care for it... however, for streamed channels (Roku, Amazon, Netflix) it works perfectly. This has been addressed hundreds of times on the Samsung site with no real answer (by the way, my fix was changing the digital input from auto to PCM ...however, there is a degradation of sound)
