I have the most generic tv in an office and this soundbar hooked right up to it with no changes on the television and the wireless bass immediately connected to the soundbar. Thank you for your review of this Samsung HW-T450 Soundbar. I am very sorry that you are not completely happy with the bass performance.
There are two adjustments that can be made to maximize bass from the soundbar and subwoofer:
1) Using the WOOFER button on the remote, you can adjust the volume of the subwoofer between -6 to +6 by toggling the button up or down. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button in.
2) Adjust the bass control by pressing the SOUND CONTROL button (gear icon) on the remote control, then select BASS to increase the level. You can adjust the volume between -6 to +6 by using the Up/Down buttons.
For precise audio adjustments, you can use the 7-band frequency equalizer to optimize the sound for your room acoustics.

Very good clear audio - could be louder

I recently purchased this soundbar + subwoofer for my in laws. I’m pleased by the clarity of the audio. After a little tweaking of the 7 band equalizer (lowering the volume at 150 Hz), the sound is clear and bass is balanced, defined, and not muddy. I definitely recommend this product. My only negative comment is that max volume is on the low side. I wish it could be louder, but this is not a deal killer for the room it is installed in.

Samsung Soundbar

There is a good range of tweet to rumbling low tones with this soundbar and it is consistent. Need to learn how to personalize the sounds though.

I LiKe How It Doesn't Have Too Many Wires Just The Optical & Power Cords. SubWoofer Is Wireless Just Have To Connect It To An Outlet & Instantly Connects To The Main Bar. Could only do with cable not Bluetooth. And not happy that the volume button display on screen doesn’t show the numbers rising. Only an indicator icon displays when you hit the button. Can only see what number volume you’re at by looking at the sound bar. We own an LG soundbar for our LG TV and we think that’s better than this one. Disappointed but technically it works, so 3 stars

I am very sorry to see that you are having connection issues between the Samsung HW-T450 Soundbar and TV. If you are connecting wirelessly via Bluetooth, please follow these steps:
1) Press the PAIR button on the remote to enter BT PAIRING mode
a. or press the SOURCE button on the top panel and then select BT. “BT” changes to “BT PAIRING” in a few seconds automatically or changes to “BT READY” if there is a connect record.
b. When BT READY appears, press and hold the SOURCE button on the top panel of the Soundbar for more than 5 seconds to display BT PAIRING.
2) Select Bluetooth mode on the TV
3) Select “[AV] Samsung Soundbar T4-Series” from the list on the TV’s screen. An available Soundbar is indicated with “Need Pairing” or “Paired” on the TV’s Bluetooth device list. To connect the TV to the Soundbar, select the message, and then establish a connection. - When the TV is connected, [TV Name] → “BT” appears on the Soundbar’s front display.
4) You can now hear TV sound from the Soundbar.
If the device fails to connect
- If a previously connected Soundbar listing (e.g. “[AV] Samsung Soundbar T4-Series”) appears in the list, delete it.
- Then repeat steps 1 through 3
Once you have connected your soundbar for the first time, use the “BT READY” mode to reconnect.

• If asked for a PIN code when connecting a Bluetooth device, enter <0000>.
• In Bluetooth connection mode, the Bluetooth connection will be lost if the distance between the
Soundbar and the Bluetooth device exceeds 32.8 ft (10 m).
• The Soundbar automatically turns off after 18 minutes in the Ready state.
• The Soundbar may not perform Bluetooth search or connection correctly under the following
circumstances:
– If there is a strong electrical field around the Soundbar.
– If several Bluetooth devices are simultaneously paired with the Soundbar.
– If the Bluetooth device is turned off, not in place, or malfunctions.
• Electronic devices may cause radio interference. Devices that generate electromagnetic waves
must be kept away from the Soundbar main unit - e.g., microwaves, wireless LAN devices, etc.

Thank you for your review of this Samsung HW-T450 Soundbar System. I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing connection issues.
There are a few things you may want to check:
1) The maximum wireless signal transmission distance is about 33 ft.
2) If there is a wall between the sound bar and the subwoofer it may cause interference or not work at all depending on the material in the wall.
3) If there is a device that uses the same wireless frequency (2.4 GHz) near the Soundbar, interference may cause some sound interruption.
4) Check all of the sources on the soundbar. If the audio is dropping while watching TV it could be an issue with the broadcast.

Second, one time last week there was a glitch where audio was coming from both the soundbar and my TV, resulting in an echo. It ultimately went back to normal after I unplugged it for a while, but obviously less than idea.

I am very sorry that you are experiencing issues with your soundbar. Please make sure you are running the latest firmware update. Updating the firmware on your soundbar gives you all the benefits of the latest improvements. You can update your firmware to ver. 1043 by using a USB device. You can find the update here:

When you turn on the TV, the TV should turn on the soundbar and automatically switch from TV speakers to soundbar output. You should not be getting an echo.
