not as loud as I expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Installed speakers and subwoofer in minutes had it all connected and functioning, I wanted to max out the volume to test the new system and to my surprise the volume out of the sound bar was about as the same volume as my Samsung 65" tv connected with the optical cable, took it apart faster than when i assembled the system and returned to the store , very disappointed about the quality of sound of that sound system.

It's a great way to avoid having to snake wires around a tv set. The soundbar integrates with our samsung tv, so we don't have to use a separate remote to turn it on. The modes are dynamic. Controls are intuitive. The only knock I have is the remote makes it difficult to change volume up and down , and there are audible clicks with each change. Most of all, the price was right, and it performs better than our other polk soundbar.

Easy remote to use but very difficult to open to put batteries in it. Needs redesign. Low profile in front of tv and bass woofer can rattle any windows you have if needed.

It sounds great, but it doesn't get as loud as I would expect. I have it installed in the garage and when I have two fans on the low setting I can barely hear what the characters in the movies are saying. Sadly I am two weeks past the return date, this is why I prefer to purchase items such as this from Costco.

I have the subwoofer to the right of the TV on the floor next to the entertainment center stand. No complaints from neighbors.

The sound bar is set behind the TV in order not to block the TV eye. We are using the Infinity remote as the only remote. With a lot of movies it is frustrating to get the volume loud enough. The TV blocks the eye of the sound bar. It takes a LONG time to get the volume up or down. Dolby audio is quite loud.

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung HW-T450 Soundbar and for your review. I am very sorry that you are not happy with the volume of your soundbar. Simply changing the Digital Output Audio Format to PCM can help. You may want to try changing the Digital Output Audio Format to PCM.
This can be found at Home > Settings > Sound > Expert Settings. (It can also be found in the Quick Settings.)
If your Digital Output Audio Format isn't set to PCM, like for instance if you have a Dolby option selected, then you will likely notice decreased maximum volume. Dolby options are designed for surround systems (like 5.1 or 7.1), whereas PCM provides great sound quality for stereo speakers.
If you don't have a surround system, you will probably want to select PCM. You'll get much louder volume that way, and potentially better sound quality.
