Thank you for purchasing the Samsung HW-T650 Soundbar and for your review. I am very sorry that you are not happy with the volume of your soundbar in your big room. Simply changing the Digital Output Audio Format to PCM can help. You may want to try changing the Digital Output Audio Format to PCM.
This can be found at Home > Settings > Sound > Expert Settings. (It can also be found in the Quick Settings.)
If your Digital Output Audio Format isn't set to PCM, like for instance if you have a Dolby option selected, then you will likely notice decreased maximum volume. Dolby options are designed for surround systems (like 5.1 or 7.1), whereas PCM provides great sound quality for stereo speakers.
If you don't have a surround system, you will probably want to select PCM. You'll get much louder volume that way, and potentially better sound quality.

The setup was simple enough, but I've had issues with the subwoofer from the day I purchased. After completing the setup, I noticed a crackling/static noise coming from the subwoofer when the volume was low. Based on some research I've done, this can be a known issue with these bluetooth units. I followed the suggestions found in multiple Samsung forum discussions for troubleshooting (others reported the same issue), but none of them worked. Sort of bummed since I purchased a new Samsung TV at the same time I purchased this soundbar, and I wanted to avoid any compatibility issues by going with a different manufacturer. Disappointed for sure.

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung HW-T450 Soundbar. I am very sorry you are not completely happy with your unit.
When you hear static coming from your soundbar, it could be from a bad signal from the TV or a poor connection. It could also be caused by interference by mobile devices placed nearby. (1) Be sure to move phones and tablets at least 3 feet away, (2) Make sure that all cables are firmly connected to the soundbar at both ends, (3) Finally, check if the static is occurring on all sources connected to the soundbar. If it is only occurring on one source, replace the cable that the device is connected with.
