Sound bar not perfectly effective

Disappointed by volume

I am very sorry that you are not happy with the volume of your soundbar. Simply changing the Digital Output Audio Format to PCM can help.
The setting you're looking for is Digital Output Audio Format. This can be found at Home > Settings > Sound > Expert Settings. (It can also be found in the Quick Settings.)
If your Digital Output Audio Format isn't set to PCM, like for instance if you have a Dolby option selected, then you will likely notice decreased maximum volume. Dolby options are designed for surround systems (like 5.1 or 7.1), whereas PCM provides great sound quality for stereo speakers (2.1). (A number like 2.1 indicates 2 speakers and 1 subwoofer.)
If you don't have a surround system, you will probably want to select PCM. You'll get much louder volume that way, and potentially better sound quality.

To optimize your audio experience, please try the various sound modes this model offers. Press the SOUND MODE button on your remote, and then select your desired sound effect: STANDARD, SURROUND SOUND, GAME, SMART, or DRC.
You can further adjust TREBLE and BASS via the SOUND CONTROL button (looks like a gear symbol).

Thank you for purchasing the HW-T450 Soundbar to accompany your Samsung TV. 2020 Samsung TVs have a feature called Audio Pass Through. You can use this feature to correct your audio-sync issue.
On your TV go to: Settings > Audio > Expert Settings > Digital Audio Output Format > Pass-Through

Don't waste your money

Not much different sound than the TV that has already gone out. Never stays set where you have it as far as the base and the right and left speaker and the subwoofer. Rarely comes on with the TV and you have to mess with it and re-pair it.

This Samsung soundbar malfunction.

It took longer than usual time to paired with Samsung smart TV. When it finally does, it works for a short while, then disconnected. I paired devices almost every time watching from my bedroom. Mind you, this is few times a week, sometimes I don't even notice because I fall asleep. Unfortunately, few nights ago the sound bar sound was chipping in and out on the TV. That's when I caught on that it's malfunctioning. I had to connect the hardwire to TV and soundbar for it to work.

Thank you for your review of this Samsung HW-T450 Soundbar System. I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing connection issues.
There are a few things you may want to check:
1) The maximum wireless signal transmission distance is about 33 ft.
2) If there is a wall between the sound bar and the subwoofer it may cause interference or not work at all depending on the material in the wall.
3) If there is a device that uses the same wireless frequency (2.4 GHz) near the Soundbar, interference may cause some sound interruption.
4) Check all of the sources on the soundbar. If the audio is dropping while watching TV it could be an issue with the broadcast.
5) Also, please be sure you have the latest firmware update. You can update your firmware by Auto Update, using the SmartThings app, or by using a USB device. You can find the update here: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/2020-t-series-soundbar-with-wireless-subwoofer-hw-t450

Sound delay and unreliable bluetooth

Then it started to give me a delay in sound. I returned it and got a HW-T510. Its way better than this model. Also when I tried to connect it to the tv via bluetooth it couldn't be discovered.

There are two adjustments that can be made to maximize bass from the soundbar and subwoofer:
1) Using the WOOFER button on the remote, you can adjust the volume of the subwoofer between -6 to +6 by toggling the button up or down. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button in.
2) Adjust the bass control by pressing the SOUND CONTROL button (gear icon) on the remote control, then select BASS to increase the level. You can adjust the volume between -6 to +6 by using the Up/Down buttons.
For precise audio adjustments, you can use the 7-band frequency equalizer to optimize the sound for your room acoustics.
