This soundbar features a powerful wireless subwoofer, as well as Game Mode, & Smart Sound which automatically detects what you're watching and optimizes the sound setting.
You can try manually optimizing your settings by pressing the SOUND MODE button on your remote, and then selecting the desired sound effect by choosing STANDARD, SURROUND SOUND, GAME, or SMART.
You can further adjust TREBLE and BASS via the SOUND CONTROL button (looks like a gear symbol).

Totally not worth it!!!!!

A Geek Squad Agent had me change one existing soundbar for this one and it worked for 2 weeks?? The agent came out today and confirmed that this product is defective and I return it. He also recommended that I return the other one because neither remote worked. Very disappointing and feed up!!!!

Defective

I set it up and it was defective. It sounded like wires were touching but not connected, so there was static. I exchanged it for another one the same thing happened again. I then exchanged it again for a Sony that cost $50 more and it is perfect. I usually love Samsung but had bad luck with 2 of 2 of these soundboard, so I’m guessing I’m not the only one who got a bad one.

Good music/poor theatre

Thank you for sharing your review of the Samsung HW-T450. I am sorry to see that you are not completely happy with your sound experience. Your soundbar features powerful bass with a 6.5” wireless subwoofer & Smart Sound which automatically optimizes the sound based on the content.
You can try adjusting audio performance to your liking by pressing the SOUND MODE button on your soundbar remote, and then selecting the desired sound effect by choosing STANDARD, SURROUND SOUND, GAME, or SMART.
You can also press the Sound Control button on the remote (looks like a gear) to adjust TREBLE and BASS.
Press and hold the Sound Control button for about 5 seconds to adjust the sound for each of seven frequency bands.
Using the WOOFER button on the remote, you can adjust the volume of the subwoofer between -6 to +6 by toggling the button up or down. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button down.

Not quality sound or loud enough to enhance

Sound bar

The volume would get really low and if you want it to get to the set volume again you have to pause your show and it will go back to set volume. That happened several times. The fact that Best Buy only allows return of this item for 14 days is pretty crummy.

Horrible connection

I then have to disconnect everything and reconnect. If I could return it I would!!

NO SOUND AND DISPLAY!!

Instructions in manual are useless. Left both speakers unplugged overnight and it worked ok the next day. No display at all. Other people had the same problem for over two years. Returned it and receive a full refund. Google t unit and others from Samsung and read the reviews before purchasing. When the sound does work it’s mediocre. It’s good for a small room.

Thank you for your review of this Samsung HW-T450 Soundbar. I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing connection issues.
There are a few things you may want to check:
1) The maximum wireless signal transmission distance is about 33 ft.
2) If there is a wall between the sound bar and the subwoofer it may cause interference or not work at all depending on the material in the wall.
3) If there is a device that uses the same wireless frequency (2.4 GHz) near the Soundbar, interference may cause some sound interruption.
4) Check all of the sources on the soundbar. If the audio is dropping while watching TV it could be an issue with the broadcast.
5) Also, please be sure you have the latest firmware update (version 1033). You can update your firmware by Auto Update, using the SmartThings app, or by using a USB device. You can find the update here: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/2020-t-series-soundbar-with-wireless-subwoofer-hw-t450
