    When Connected to Samsung TV with optic cable the sound is not syncronized with picture and there is a lot of low frequency noise that muffles talk between people.

    Sound bar wouldn't connect via blue-tooth when prompted, I would have to unplug repeatedly to reboot. Using the fiber cable always sounded amplified ....horrible.

      I am very sorry to see that you are having connection issues between the soundbar and TV. If you are connecting wirelessly via Bluetooth, please follow these steps:

      1) Press the PAIR button on the remote to enter BT PAIRING mode
      a. or press the SOURCE button on the top panel and then select BT. “BT” changes to “BT PAIRING” in a few seconds automatically or changes to “BT READY” if there is a connect record.
      b. When BT READY appears, press and hold the SOURCE button on the top panel of the Soundbar for more than 5 seconds to display BT PAIRING.

      2) Select Bluetooth mode on the TV

      3) Select “[AV] Samsung Soundbar T4-Series” from the list on the TV’s screen. An available Soundbar is indicated with “Need Pairing” or “Paired” on the TV’s Bluetooth device list. To connect the TV to the Soundbar, select the message, and then establish a connection. - When the TV is connected, [TV Name] → “BT” appears on the Soundbar’s front display.

      4) You can now hear TV sound from the Soundbar.

      If the device fails to connect
      - If a previously connected Soundbar listing (e.g. “[AV] Samsung Soundbar T4-Series”) appears in the list, delete it.
      - Then repeat steps 1 through 3

      Once you have connected your soundbar for the first time, use the “BT READY” mode to reconnect.

    It really doesn’t give much difference of speakers than the ones in the tv. We actually prefer the tv speakers so it was a waste of money

    Not what I expected after reading the reviews. The sound from my tv speakers alone are louder than the speakers from the sound bar. Returning ASAP.

    Sadly, I could not get soundbar to sync picture to sound. Having trouble with same issue with new tv, maybe the soundbar not the main problem.

      Dolby Digital content may be the cause for your audio delay as this is a known issue affecting all brands.
      Samsung has recently released a firmware update to improve lip-sync delays. Please check that your TV firmware is updated to the latest version 1038.

    Not a nice clear sound.

    Not happy! We’ve been trying to adjust the base but it’s not a nice clear sound, often muffled. Please advise how I can return. Thank you.

      Thank you for sharing your review of the Samsung HW-T450. I am sorry to see that you are not completely happy with sound performance.

      You can try optimizing audio performance for your specific content by pressing the SOUND MODE button on your soundbar remote, and then selecting the desired sound effect by choosing STANDARD, SURROUND SOUND, GAME, or SMART.

      You can also press the Sound Control button on the remote (looks like a gear) to adjust TREBLE and BASS.

      Press and hold the Sound Control button for about 5 seconds to adjust the sound for each of seven frequency bands.

      Using the WOOFER button on the remote, you can adjust the volume of the subwoofer between -6 to +6 by toggling the button up or down. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button down.

      To improve your the clarity of your dialogue, try using Dynamic Range Control (DRC). DRC lets you apply dynamic range control to Dolby Digital tracks. With DRC turned on, loud sounds will be reduced.
      1) Turn off your Soundbar.
      2) While the Soundbar is off, press and hold the Sound Mode button on the remote control for 6 seconds until you see “DRC ON” shown on the display.
      3) To turn off DRC, repeat steps 1 and 2 above.

    Hard to hear

    Subwoofer kept fading in and out. Sound bar was always hard to hear, even at sound level of 40+. Returned and purchased another brand.

    Poor Sound

    Low quality sound, not worth the sale price at $150. My refurbished Vizio sound bar is 10 times better. Save your money, look elsewhere.

This soundbar features a powerful wireless subwoofer, as well as Game Mode, & Smart Sound which automatically detects what you're watching and optimizes the sound setting.

      You can try manually optimizing your settings by pressing the SOUND MODE button on your remote, and then selecting the desired sound effect by choosing STANDARD, SURROUND SOUND, GAME, SMART, or DRC.

      You can further adjust TREBLE and BASS via the SOUND CONTROL button (looks like a gear symbol).

    After a month it started to shut off and won’t power back on. Have to unplug it and plug it back in to get the power back on.

In addition to steps you have taken to check that the power cord is firmly plugged into the wall outlet and power adapter. Unplug and reconnect the power cord to the wall outlet and the power adapter to make sure the connection is secure. Please also check that power adapter is firmly connected to the main unit. Disconnect the power adapter from the Soundbar and reconnect to make sure the connection is firm and secure.
