Very good overall
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been really impressed with this microwave. It's the first one I've ever used that has presets you can rely on. The smart sensor feature does a great job with things like popcorn and defrosting meats. Took one star off because the door is huge. You have to step back to open this and can easily hit your unsuspecting partner - the entire front of it opens.

No problems, larger size is convenient
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Used this over-range microwave for almost 3 weeks now and no problems. Auto cook feature works nicely. The installation volume necessary doesn't seem to be any more than the smaller volume microwaves (a little bit more money but the extra volume has come in handy at least once). Everything works and I am very happy with it.

Stopped Working After 4 Months
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Installed this microwave on 9/13/14, and it stopped working on 1/22/15. Would lose power and reset itself when the door opens, or when you press start. Samsung customer service was horrible. Had to call 4 times before an A&E repair was scheduled. Most Samsung customer representatives did not speak good english. Repairman said the board went out. NOT GOOD!

Not worth it in spite of good looks
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned this microwave for 4 months now. I'm pretty disappointed in it. It looks really nice, which is the main reason I was drawn to this microwave, but the usability is not very good, especially considering the price. The automatic programs are grouped under things like "cook", "fit choice", "snacks", and "smart defrost", each with its own button. Let's say you want to heat up some soup, can you tell me which button to push? You have to look it up in a list on a sticker inside the door (it's surprisingly annoying to shut the door just to realize you have to open it again to look up how to cook what you just put inside). My old microwave at least displayed what each option was as you cycled through them, but all this one displays is "FC-6", "FC-7", etc. Gee, how helpful! Oh well, at least they gave us a list on a sticker. Soup isn't on the list, by the way, but quinoa is? And worst of all, the auto programs consistently under-heat the food. Auto program is supposed to let me avoid guessing how long I ought to cook something. What's the point if I always have to follow it up with a guess of how much extra time to add at the end? Bottom line is that my old, cheaper microwave was better in every way except for looks, and the rare occasion when you need the extra capacity (and let's be honest, for most of us that is almost never). Unless appearance matters more than a microwave you actually enjoy using, I strongly recommend going with something else. Functionally, absolutely nothing about this microwave justifies the price.

Very Disappointed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. All is good, quite, handsome design. ONE BIG PROBLEM!! Microwave DOESN'T operate while using the timer. the whole panel is disabled while the timer is in use. How stupid is that. I will return it.

Great microwave
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a pretty cool microwave, has some pretty good functions and does the job pretty good. I also like the rack that it comes with, didn't think I ever needed a rack until I bought this microwave and use it all the time. Great microwave for the price.

Great Microwave
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great microwave but door is really large. Hit my head a few times on it but getting used to it now. It has a lot of "functions" which can seem complicated. Love the black stainless. Love Samsung products. Definitely worth the purchase.

Microwave is broken after 4 months
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: Sleek, stainless steel design Large capacity Bright LED lights Powerful fan Cons: Buttons are hard to press No Quick Start buttons Doesn't heat as well or as quickly as I expected for the wattage Door is overly large and awkward to use I used the sensor defrost feature to defrost a package of tortillas. Ever since then, the microwave sounds about twice as loud as it should and it no longer heats anything. I probably would've given 3 stars before it broke.

Not as advertised
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I bought it new several months ago, I noticed that I was not allowed to use the cook and kitchen timer features simultaneously. I contacted Best Buy and they said I needed to take it up with Samsung. Samsung has deferred back to Best Buy. I will try again, but I do not expect resolution. Either way, rendering one function useless while using the other is nonsensical.

Needed repair in 10 months
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this microwave in August 2015 and on July 4th 2016 the exhaust fan turned on by itself and it will not turn off. I called Samsung and after I provided the model and serial number, they said it wasn't under warranty. Fortunately, I was able to retrieve my receipt from my Best Buy account.

Good microwave except for the touchpad
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this microwave in 2016. After less than two years a few of the buttons on the touchpad stopped working. Luckily the start button was not one of them so we have just since continued using the microwave with a few and working buttons. The microwave otherwise has functions pretty well over the last five years

Was good while it lasted
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this microwave for just over a year. It worked really well, until it didn't. It started malfunctioning to the point where it is completely unusable (can't even leave it plugged in!) 2 MONTHS after the warranty ran out. Samsung will take no part in helping to fix it. It needs a whole new door, which will run over $200 w/ installation. Won't buy Samsung appliances ever again!!! Stick to what you know Samsung, keep making phones.

A microwave should have a longer life than 3 years
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yes it's a sleek model and matches all of the other Samsung appliances in or kitchen. Shortly after purchase in 2014, the first "annoyance" with this microwave is how hot the handle gets if you're using the stove (or specifically boiling water) right below the microwave. However, within warranty in the first year, we had 1 repair with the door wires becoming loose and therefore losing power. 2 years later, the door wires consistently come loose rendering the microwave unusable without consistent power and it constantly rebooting. In recent weeks the door stops connecting to the microwave which makes it not run because of the "open" door. So we have 2 options - a microwave with no power or one that won't turn the light off or think the door is closed in order to cook. I keep hearing Samsung horror stories and thought we've been lucky, but I would not recommend this microwave if you want a reliable one that lasts.

Broken microwave
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a brand new Samsung microwave last year. After one month of use, it could not be turned on. We called service. A technician showed up. He fixed the power, but somehow damaged microwave body, and left the broken microwave on my counter for months. We called services several times, and Somesung did not care and closed the case. It is a nightmare. We heard God told us that it does not worth to waste time with Somsung for $400. We had to buy another microwave. We bought a LG microwave instead. Although I had bought all 4 appliances and many cell phones from Samsung before, I will be not interested in their products anymore because of their unreliable product quality and poor services.

Love the look, hate the noise
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the look and functions, however, I am having a hard time getting past the vent fan, it is so loud. I have called to see if it is normal and Best Buy is going to send someone out, however, I am disappointed if this is the way it will work, since my range is a Samsung I want them to match.

Buyer beware 3 times your out
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this Model of Samsung microwave in November of 2016. Within less than a year the Microwave had a power failure. The service Tech had to replace the Thermostat and power control board. The 2nd time (1-26-2017) a Power failure and the service tech replaced the power control board. 3rd time (9-18-2018) dead again. No help from Samsung. Just a note the refrigerators Ice-maker freezes up and leaks. Samsung knows about the problem with their ice-makers and does nothing about it.
