I purchased this because I needed a new dryer and I wanted them to match. I had the GE version of these - and they're somehow related because the metal box and lots of the components match the GE. But this Samsung performs so much better than the GE. I feel like it's actually cleaning my clothes well! Seems like a pretty low expectation, I know, but I haven't been too impressed with the compact front loaders that I have to buy to fit into my laundry room. And I think it's a little cheaper than the GE. I've only had it a couple of weeks, so I can't speak to the durability. By the way, it's also much quieter than the GE.

This Samsung is sure better than the GE I had to return due to a defect. This Samsung is pretty noisy and always afraid if the downstairs neighbor could hear it. Why can't they make the washer(2.2) as big as the dryer(4.)? When i choose a wash cycle sometimes I can't get what I want from it and why are the wash cycles an hour? It's not too bad, I did go from 27" wide to 24" wide.

Spider arm broke after 3 1/2 years. Single guy, maybe washing once a week.

It was listed as excellent but I was surprised to see the damage to it when my son picked it up. Had severe dent damage on front corner near door hinge, It gives door open error message quite often. Your excellent rating is far from accurate.

This thing is garbage. Had to replace the main circuit board and a hose earlier. Now, door lock has broken and it will be at least three weeks to get the part.

Doesn't seem like a very robust product. My LG washer worked for 15 straight years and still going

Never had to fix or replace a washer after only 4yrs. I know that seems like a long time to some but seriously? $900! what happened to washers lasting 6-8 yrs? In 30yrs this is the first washer that has had issues so soon :( save your money and go after a cheep brand! If Samsung can't make a washer may as well get an off brand

Since my home is quite small, I have limited options for washers/dryers. There are only 2 options that would work for my home. I picked Samsung over GE due to reputation and features - big mistake! My unit is under 2 years old and sensors have gone bad causing me to spend close to $500 in service calls not to mention the time away from work to meet the repair teams. I would strongly encourage those in the market for a compact unit to go with the GE.

Was great until it wasn't, it would cost more to repair than to just replace it.

I bought this washer and 3 weeks later and I'm still missing the parts (liquid dispenser and bleach insert). I commend the Best Buy employees for being extremely nice for helping me try to solve the problem, but unfortunately, I still have parts missing. Had to go up to executive line and awaiting feedback. Samsung on the other hand keeps misplacing all the documentation I send in and has been a nightmare to deal with. At this point I think I'll just return it and let them deal with it. Stay away from Samsung, because if your machine breaks or doesn't come with the correct parts, you basically just have a door stop.

After only two years of light use this machine has broken beyond repair. The flange snapped. Two different trustworthy repair shops, including one that I was sent to by Samsung, have told me it's not worth it to fix the machine. The cost of fixing it will be equivalent to a new machine, both have said, and once it's taken apart and put back together there's a good chance I'll have problems with water leaks. Both repair shops -- again, including the one I was sent to by Samsung -- have told me Samsung machines are crap and should be avoided at all costs. Since this is something I did not learn when reading reviews and deciding what to buy, I'm now passing it on to you. Please take heed and seek elsewhere for your new washing machine.

I haven't hooked it up yet. Evidently installation means dumping it in the front hall, not taking it to the room in which it will be used. I mean, how much harder is that? When I was out of the room they dumped it and ran. Now I have to try to get a hold of someone who can help me move it to the laundry room.I guess that's my too 20th Century expectations, actual service. In my experience "installation" meant hooking up hoses and such. "Delivery" meant taking it to the place in the house it was to be used. I'm ticked off, but at least you can beware and specify "Installation".

Ir worked great until 4 years later it completely stopped working and apparently it can't be fixed. Pretty very investment for such a short life. I expected better quality from Samsung!

Actually has been a good small washer for three years, until it started leaking. There is a design flaw where two rubber hoses rub against each other. On top of this, there are currently no Samsung-certified repairers in my area (Traverse City, MI). So if you live in NW Michigan, do not buy one because you will not be able to get it repaired under warranty.

Less than two years, just spent over $500 and three visits from the technician to get it back working. Terrible. Do not buy.

Terrible...starting leaking just after 3 years. Completely shut down and they are telling me over $500 to repair it. Big mistake.
