||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this online for a vacation rental, largely based on the strong reviews. I didn’t realize it had. I water service beyond the ice maker, which was a major disappointment. The finish shows every fingerprint, and the inside drawers seem cheap and flimsy. Door shelves are too deep, and products slide around if they’re not filled. I’ve bought Samsung appliances in the past, and this is the first time I was disappointed.

Terrible experience
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The quality was terrible, been repaired 5 times until after several complains and 6 month, they decided finally to changed for a new one. Not recommend this to anyone, and also the warranty is a scam be aware they have all tricks full of hidden rules not to change your equipment in case it fails.

Poor performance
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worked for 3 years then started having problems. Fan would stop working and freeze. Then the refrigerator wouldn’t stay cold. Most local appliance places won’t even touch Samsung kitchen appliances. The freezer is over frozen and I could barely open the bottom drawer. Never will buy Samsung fridge again- don’t waste your money!

If the refrigerator or freezer doors will not close, it will impact cooling performance and eventually create frost. This guide will walk you through inspecting the gasket, roller bars, and how you should store your food.

A refrigerator is never completely quiet, even when it's new. In fact, new fridges may be louder as they settle into place. Still, noises from your ice maker or the compressor should never get so loud that it's interrupting a conversation. This guide will review potential noises and advise you of any steps you should take when there is something you can do to prevent the noise.

There are a few factors that can cause an ice maker to not work. If the ice maker appears to not be making any or enough ice, low water pressure or a faulty water filter may be to blame. When the ice maker makes small, cloudy, or clumped ice, it could be something as simple as a dirty water filter, low water pressure, or high mineral deposits in your water. In the event of a frozen ice bucket, some troubleshooting may be needed, and service may be required.

When it works, it's great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The unit looks good and for the first 45 days, it worked well. Then the freezer went out. Samsung covered the repair and replacement of the faulty part, but it is frustrating that something that new should have a failure. It's been 3 months since the repair and no further problems. Maybe we just got a bad part and it is not reflective of the units as a whole. Only time will tell.

DO NOT BUY
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this during the Black Friday sales event, in a bundle of 4 Samsung appliances, and they are all being returned. (Fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher) The fridge almost immediately starting making a humming/buzzing noise that did not sound normal, and continued to do so every day. We decided within a week to send it back and get a new brand. When Geek Squad picked it up, they said this was the 4th one they have recently taken back for the same reasons. Take your chance and buy, or spend a little more for a quality product.

Be careful with parts quality
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The fridge itself gets the job done. I wish the freezer opened more. Other than that, two door bins broke a year and a month after purchase. It is now out of warranty and they make you pay almost $60 to replace them.

Freezer is not working properly
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this fridge for 3 weeks, and the freezer is not working properly. The freezer will not get cold enough, so all of my meat is now defrosted, and ice cream has melted. I just spent 600 on groceries at costco, and I now have to wait almost a week to have it returned and exchanged. Find a different brand and avoid the hassle.

Love it but top of doors doesn't seal right
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is absolutely dead silent. It never makes a noise, other than when I finally was curious about the icemaker, and turned on the icemaker function. Then I could hear it slightly when the ice cubes dropped. But it's horrendously SLOW - I turned it on before bed one night, about midnight or so, and it was about 7 AM I heard the first cubes hit the container. Almost 48 hours later, I still only have the single layer on the bottom of the ice container. Not even a second layer piled up yet in 2 days. So don't rely on this icemaker for anything like parties, it's WAY too slow. Even the 12 year old Kenmore Elite it replaced made ice way, way faster than this. My other concern is the seal. Where the doors both close at top, near that small cut out slit for the folding part of the left door, each side's seal bulges out slightly as if they're supposed to meet and overlap. But they don't meet. So I can actually see this slit in the plastic where the folding part goes, and when you open the door and look, there's nothing else in there to keep cold in or warm out, so that 1/4" gap is literally a hole straight into the fridge. Seems poor engineering on their part that they can't even seal the fridge shut completely. Still trying to find out if this is an intentional design feature for some reason, that it has to maintain some way to flow air from in to out or something. You can literally see the light coming through this with the doors closed before the lights turn off. I was originally looking at a GE fridge because I liked the LED lights down in the crisper drawer area that they explicitly showed, it wasn't lit just from on top like this looked. I was pleased to find that this also has LED's on each side of the fridge in the crisper area, so they are well lit too. No photos I saw anywhere revealed that feature, so I wanted to mention it specifically since it was one of the things that almost decided me against this unit. I didn't want one this wide, since I knew it was going to be a squeeze. But my area was a hair over 36" wide, so I knew it SHOULD fit, but what I wasn't sure about, and what caused me problems, were the wheels and the base. My other fridge had wheels slightly more inside, so the baseboard wasn't an issue. But this one apparently doesn't have any forgiveness at the bottom - the shoe molding had to be ripped out, and it's still kind of squeezed in there... I probably should've pulled off the entire baseboard piece but left it was it was since it was in and appeared level without us having to do any adjustments with it. I can't stress how quiet this thing is. Amazing compared to my last one, which didn't make much noise either, and I always thought was very quite, but compared to this, wasn't as quiet as it could've been... I like the wide pull out deli drawer on the bottom, that was actually the feature that made me pick this despite the apparent lack of LED lights in the crisper area. I love it for the lunch meat, cheese, and such. We get shrimp sometimes, which since we're in Wisconsin is usually frozen, so it is a good place to defrost that as well, although I still have to play some with the temp adjustment to find what works best for what. Freezer compartment is decent, but I wish there had been a way to remove the icemaker part, since you lose a chunk of space on that top left shelf because of it, and since we usually had the water turned off and didn't use the icemaker, for us it's simply lost space. But it's just me and my son, so it wasn't as if suddenly we couldn't fit food anymore. And the space lost is actually less than I lost with the old fridge's unused icemaker. I kind of miss having the separate area on the door that I used to have, since that, with a shelf inside my old top freezer fridge, gave me three separate areas I could organize my food into, but we're learning to adapt to having to deal with a sliding shelf to get at stuff in the bottom of the freezer. It's a bit more of a pain, but we use the freezer maybe 1% of the time if you simply count how many times we are opening each door. For me, having all the fridge stuff easily accessible at waist level or higher, no bending down to get something out of the back of the bottom shelf all the time, makes the freezer inconvenience well worth it. It's amazing how much of a difference it makes even just going in for a bottle of juice or iced tea. There is so much more room in here than the one we replaced, it looked naked and empty after we moved all the foot into it from the old fridge, which looked pretty averagely filled. I still have to find the right adjustments for the shelves for our use, I haven't changed them from the default yet, since the doors have so much storage for large things, we haven't had to get much in the shelves yet that wouldn't fit the standard layout. I like the quick slide shelf though that you can adjust so it slides back, and leaves a temporary tall spot for something on the lower shelf to fit higher than it could. I had that in the fridge I replaced, where I kept my iced tea jugs. Not so critical now though with the space on the doors. The one thing I miss is a place for my eggs and butter. The outside is definitely a fingerprint magnet, so get one of the nice microfiber cloths for stainless steel and the cleaning stuff specifically for it. All told, other than the gap I haven't figured out yet leaving a hole directly into the fridge uncovered, and the insanely slow ice maker, this is a sweet, sweet fridge. If it weren't for the hole I haven't figured out, I'd give it 5 stars.

Samsung shouldn’t make refrigerators.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Terrible product, had problems at the very start. Couldn’t figure out how to turn the icemaker on and off. And then when I got it working it kept freezing up. Samsung had to come out and replace the icemaker but he didn’t fix it. Bad design. If you don’t close the door properly the icemaker freezes up. Also add comes with the French doors closing properly. I’m actually getting a refund back on my refrigerator because I had so many problems and I don’t like it and want to get something different
