Reliable and Beautifully Designed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this refrigerator three years ago and are very pleased. It’s beautifully designed and spacious. The shelves adjust and one can be easily pulled back to make another tall space. The doors hav lots of space and it fits our food perfectly. You know how you can have a couple of favorite cartons not fit together in the door? Not with this one. The vegetable drawers work well and with the freezer underneath they are located at a convenient height. No more kneeling to get a carrot. The freezer’s two sliding storage covers are also a good use of space. I though I would dislike the large freezer bins but they aren’t so deep that I can lose stuff in there. The lighting is bright and the shelf and door materials are tough. Minor issues. A small edge of the vegetable drawers can’t be cleaned. The door bins are plastic and snap into the doors; heavy weight can cause these to come undone. They snap back into place so far. Finally, the warning bell lets you know if you leave the door open. That’s great until grocery day when it rings as you unload. I would absolutely buy this again. It’s been ne of those rare things in my kitchen that makes me smile all the time, even years later.

Beautiful but makes popping sound
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have had this refrigerator for about a week. It's beautiful and has a lot of features that we love, ie, gallon-sized wall drawers, collapsible shelf, turbo cool. However, it does some weird things. When it's been closed for a while, say overnight, in the morning there is visible moisture on the shelves and drawers. It still feels cold, but I feel like this isn't normal. My biggest problem with this fridge is how loud it is. After buying it and hearing the loud popping sounds (sometimes very similar to a shotgun) I did some research. Turns out it's a flaw in the design by Samsung and it's due to the thin insulation and the Freon tubing. For now, the sounds don't both us, but I wouldn't recommend this to anyone because of this annoying feature.

Just good enough
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The only real positive thing I can say its that it keeps food cold. Not for the average family in that it is not durable as the parts break easily and it can be difficult to clean.

Garbage
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.* Laud but it is in the garage so i can handle it :) * Smell badly don't know from where :( :) :):) !!! * Parts and customer service (shelve broke after 2 months) samsung customer service which is overseas is horrible, no skill, wrong parts sent, dropped calls with no call back, really loooong time to receive order. No expedited shipping available they don't even know where the parts are being shipped from and have no connection between departments!!!!!!! The time spent on the phone 1h,2h two, three times just to follow up existing order etc. Conclusion: stay away or better get LG or ....anything!

Great Overall
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let's start with the good. This is a beautiful fridge. It's very convenient and the easy open freezer is great. The interior lighting is very good. As for noise, please read below. Here is what I learned from the install guys: this model is made in 3 locations: Korea, China and Mexico. He notices a difference in weight between them (seems odd) and a difference in "noise". When pressed, he admitted that most of the noise complaints are for the ice maker. Well, of course the falling ice makes noise, we all get that. But there does indeed seem to be a design problem where the ice maker itself makes loud snapping/popping sounds. So...in an attempt to test this I have not yet turned on or hooked up the ice maker. And so far it's very quiet. The fridge seems to have a 2 or 3 speed compressor. It runs high speed to get down to temp and is the loudest of course. The slowest (quietest) may be just an internal circulation fan. In this mode I have to stand a foot away in a quiet room to hear that. In the loudest state I can hear it 20ft away, again in a quiet room. In the middle state I can hear it 20ft away, but only if I'm listening for it. All in all it's not bad at all IMHO and my wife and I agree it's quieter than our GE was. Does this mean that the popping sounds will not start in the future? No. But from some reviewers, the installer and my experience so far it's the ice maker that is the real trouble. So surely you are wondering what to do if you want the ice maker. All I can say is try your luck as some units apparently are quiet, or buy a different model/brand. Best Buy supposedly will take this unit back within 14 days and credit you for a different model/brand. For us, we are just not going to use the ice maker at all and suffer that inconvenience rather than open the risk of annoying noises. Oh, one more thing, I noticed that the mfgr label (bottom left side of fridge) shows this unit as model blabla-04. I wonder if it's the 4th version, maybe the noise problem is fixed? Just wondering. Wishing you the best:)

Good looking, no troublesome water dispenser.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.(4 months) I have had no issues I have seen on these reviews. The unit works perfectly as stated. I have to admit that for basic functionality I don't like french door refrigerators. Reason for me is that I am used to opening the door to my right away from me and put items directly into it. These units requires you to face it, then open the right or left doors and slide items to the desired compartments. One other annoyance is when the ice tray fills up, and you slide the freezer open the cubes fall into the back of the unit and cant be retrieved.

Buyer Be Aware
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Please be aware of a problem that most Samsung products suffer from. Our three door refrigerator, that is only five years old, had one of its door handles break while trying to open it. The part, which holds the pin that holds the door handle, broke. The plastic part IS NOT REPLACEABLE. That means that if this part breaks, you have to buy another complete door. There is nothing wrong with the door other than this weak plastic part. The plastic part that failed probably costs a buck or two to make and maybe twelve dollars in a store, if it was sold, now costed us $300. It seems that during design and assembly, SAMSUNG has placed a PLASTIC part that is not repairable and the customer is responsible for their mistake. Custom services' response was that there was nothing they could do because my refrigerator was not under warranty. Since my fridge is five years old, a warranty wouldn't have helped anyway. Your concern should be that SAMSUNG's products have these parts in them. If your spending your hard earned money on SAMSUNG products, your depending on the SAMSUNG name and reputation to help its customers out when one of their products has failed. This is a design flaw by SAMSUNG. SAMSUNG should take responsibility for their mistakes.

Bought this in 2018
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's been almost 4 years. I read the already numerous reviews before buying. It still runs great. I don't use the ice maker due to a lot of reviews mentioning leakage and other issues. No leakege and pooling water. I owned a side by side fridge prior to owning this and always thought that the French doors model would had a better capacity. In a way this is true. But now I'm unable to fit really tall things on the racks without removing or repositioning racks. Also, they have these support brackets underneath which restrict the vertical capacity even more. I do love the freezer. It holds more stuff than a side by side freezer. The worst part about this fridge is the quality of the plastic parts (shelves and trays) and their poor design. After a few months, one door shelf cracked and split. The problem most likely due to poor design. The shelves have 2 parts (transparent and opaque) joined together, the joining areas on each side of the shelf can't seem to handle weight well. The plastic connectors crack and eventually break apart causing the shelf to split. After this happened to one shelf, I checked the other shelves. A few had loose connections already. Luckily it was still under warranty. I called Samsung and described the problem. They sent replacement shelves right away. What I forgot to check was the snack tray. The right wheel track disintegrated. It didn't affect the use of the tray. It still rolls. But it goes to show the quality of the plastic. It can't withstand normal wear and tear. By the time I discovered this, it was out of warranty. Oh well. I strongly recommend fortifying the joint areas of the door shelves. I did this and seems to help them withstand weight better. Do check on the snack tray's wheel tracks. Fortifying them would be advisable as well since it's expensive to replace. In summary, this is a decent fridge with poor quality shelves and snack tray (hence the 4 star). Five stars for Samsung's customer service.

Samsung Fridge
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Of all the models there are 2 that I like. The first one is the French door style with ice maker. I found there is plenty of room in the fridge portion with double doors opening. Of the freezer portion it need more room. Like I said it's one of 2 choices. Number 2 is the 25cu feet side by side. More than enough room on the fridge side. On the freezer side u found it actually stored more than choice 1. I would prefer the French door side since it's only my wife and I in the house. My wife is not sold with the freezer below and really like a traditional fridge with freezer on top and fridge below. We currently have a side by side and that will work for us. It's a matter of preference but both are very good refrigerators.

kinda loud at times!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had my RF260BEASR for a week and have to say at times its very loud and has constant popping sounds. We love the refrigerator! really big, good size freezer space, love the led lighting. That's the only complaint so far is the popping sounds that are very noticeable. I'm not sure if its normal or not our older 1998 whirlpool did the same thing but not as often as the Samsung does. We first bought this product for $1699.99 then a few days later actually before it was delivered it did some price matching and it was on sale at BESTBUY for $1094.99 so got back over $500! not a bad deal. hope this helps future reviewers in there decision making.

Frustrated by Samsung Support
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was an excellent refrigerator for the first 10 months. But then it started running all the time and the freezer defrosted. Still under the warranty, I went to Samsung's support site and did my best to work within their system. Day 1: I filled out the forms, re-uploaded the receipt for an already registered product, and even recorded a detailed video illustrating the problem. Day 2: 24 hours later I missed a call and checked my voicemail. It was a woman telling me that since I didn't answer on the first call, my ticket was closed. There was an impersonal email linking to two help articles that obviously didn't apply if someone had read my description and watched the video. I called back and re-initiated a ticket, explaining that the unit was not off (I checked) and that regardless of whether my thermometer should match the internal display, there should not be standing water in a functioning freezer. They told me someone would get back to me in 24-48 hours. Day 3: Call comes about 24 hours later. I swerve off the highway to take the call, fearing my ticket might get closed again if I wasn't immediately available. I explain that the freezer isn't freezing, and that the refrigerator will not get below 43 degrees. He asks me what temperature the freezer is. I explain that once the ice melted I quit checking, but I was confident it was above 32 degrees. He checks the schedule and says that there is an available appointment the following day. Huzzah! Day 4: Ummm. No call? No technician? I pack ice into the refrigerator to keep the milk chilled. Day 5: I call Samsung support again. There is a record of the call on day 3, and she explains it's normal that you have to go through 24-48 hours and at least two calls before they will make an appointment with a technician. I ask where my Friday appointment was. She had no record, but could offer me the next available appointment on TUESDAY. I live in the Denver Metro area, and a Google Maps search for Appliance Repair looks like a polka dot skirt, but the only technician that Samsung can work with is an hour drive away, and will try and get to the house between 12 and 3 on DAY 7. We have decided to come to terms by eating fresh rather than frozen. Humans did well for thousands of years without refrigeration. Who am I to complain? Day 7: To be continued....
