A lot of fridge for one person, great features
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've only had this fridge a couple of weeks, but so far I'm pretty happy. It is quite large, so my brain is still getting used to the amount of space it takes. But the features! I haven't really used many of the smart features yet, but my other new appliances were smart, along with most of my house, so I figured I might as well go for it. I didn't really find a need need for the Family Hub version, although I wanted to want it. It didn't really offer much more than having a tablet or smartphone onhand does, with the exception of allowing you to look inside the refrigerator without opening the door (but then you lose the door-in-door which i wanted more). Other than that, nearly all the other features can be handled by one of the many other devices you probably already have in your house or your pocket, and the Smart Things app. And for a 1,000 bucks, I can grab my tablet and keep it on the counter next to the fridge if necessary. Pros: 1 - The the drawers slide easily, feel sturdy, and the water pitcher fills really fast. I like the detail of the flip-down metal arm to keep items on the right door from falling out when you open it. Also, the easy-access door has come in quite handy for quickly grabbing a protein shake, Gatorade or butter instead of having to open the entire door to grab one small item. 2 -The Flex Zone is really cool. It's great for dividing the drawer for each person in the house, different categories, etc. The sliding steel divider accommodates up to 28 1/4" x 16", or any dimension within that range, So if you have large deli platters or are marinating large trays of meat, this this is an ideal space to do it.. The drawer is only 5" tall, so you won't have have a lot of vertical space, but I'm able to store 2 1-dozen egg cartoons on top of each other with no trouble. I saw varying reviews and product descriptions before buying this fridge that mention that the Flex Zone can be used as extra freezer space. That is incorrect. It has a range of 41゚ down to 30°F, which is not freezer temperature (0°F). 3 - The freezer storage is really huge. I was unsure if the depth of the bottom drawer would be enough to hold, for example, a 24-pound frozen turkey. Happily, the bottom freezer drawer is quite deep, and with the movable vertical divider, you could even store a large box up to 15" x 15" on one side. And if your bird (or other other frozen item) is tall, the upper freezer drawer lifts out and allowing you a few more inches of vertical space (up to 18" tall). I would caution, however, that the drawers are made of plastic, so anything overly heavy might cause damage. The plastic is not thin, but I would worry about bending or cracking it if the item was too heavy in one spot. 4 - When opening the lower freezer drawer, the upper drawer comes out a little automatically to the perfect point so that you can easily access the items in the bottom bin, or reach in and side the top drawer to its full extent without much effort. 5 - The ice and water dispenser "window" is generously wide. I can hold up a medium sized saucepan to fill directly, but it did make kind of a mess with ice chips escaping behind the pot. The only real cons are: 1 - The 2 shelves on the right side only have 3 positions available, and only 1 on the left (no options), And both left and right doors have zero bin placement options, so there's not much flexibility for your vertical storage space. The design tries to make up for it with a flip up shelf on the top left and a drop shelf on the lower right side which which converts that shelf into only half its depth so tall stuff can be stored on the front of the bottom level (blocking any items in the back). The flip up shelf on the left clicks into to the shelf on the right, However, if you have lowered the right shelf then that flip up shelf has no lateral support in the center. It does not hold much weight, so even though it is now the perfect height for canned drinks, the structure is not strong enough to stay level with much weight on it. The engineers could have added plastic or nylon straps from the ceiling to act as supplemental vertical support, or a metal rail on the right side of the shelf. 2 - The vegetable bins on the bottom of the refrigerator are not very deep (~6"). So if you are one to buy a huge head of lettuce, cabbage, or if you want you want to chill anything larger than a small melon, it is not going to fit in the drawer. 3 - The drip reservoir under the water and ice dispenser is shamefully shallow. I slowly dripped 2 oz of water into the trough. At exactly the last drop it spilled over. If the the water was not being added very carefully, it would have spilled over long before that. There's no reason that could not have been a bit deeper, especially since that is the most likely place where kids will fill up their cups. 4 - It is also a little disappointing that there's no easy-access ice bin that you can take out and dump into a cooler. Certainly you could make ice cubes with trays in the drawer. However, you will have to be careful opening and closing that drawer until the water has frozen over, and you won't be able to make very much at one time. It will end on a positive note that is not specific to this refrigerator, but to the Samsung smart appliance line. The Smart Things app that you will use to connect your refrigerator to your smart home was extremely fast and easy to set up. Also, there are features in the app which which are available on the Family Hub version without having to pay an extra grand for a screen on your door. You can control the temperature in all of the zones, turn your ice maker on and off, turn on/off power cool and power freeze, monitor your energy use, self-diagnosis and technical support, and so much more. Some of these features are also accessible through your smart home assistant. For example, I can use Alexa to turn my ice maker off if I'm going out of town and I forgot to do it before leaving without using the Smart Things app, Or just ask Alexa to check and adjust my refrigerator temperature using my voice from the couch. The main thing that it adds (that is a selling feature of the Family Hub version) is the ability to keep track of your refrigerator inventory with a photo, location (fridge/ freezer/Flex), and expiration date, with notifications available. This might not be useful to some people, but a reminder to eat that ice cream before it goes bad could make the difference between an average day and a good one. :)

Can be hard to clean bottom shelf
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The fridge works great the features like the water piture and peek a boo door are awesome. The only big negative is the bottom shelf where the drawers go in does not come out and it has a lip between the drawer hardware and shelf that a spill got into and is impossible to clean without unscrewing a bunch of things including the water filter which I don't want to mess with.

WORST fridge design - don’t buy
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After owning it for a few months I completely regret buying this fridge. The shelves aren’t adjustable (neither inside nor on the doors) the bottom shelf requires breaking your fingertips to remove it for cleaning (thx to YouTube since it’s not even in the instruction book how to remove ) …. Actually had to use two screwdrivers to push in two tabs simultaneously while lifting the shelf up. Even when you pull the bottom shelf to get it out , the French doors don’t open enough to extract it easily. See photo I’ve taken with this review . You then have to remove all of the door shelves. Once you finally wrestle it out you can’t get the glass out of the plastic base. So basically if a Turkey leaks all over (like mine did) you’re going to be stuck with dried Turkey blood inside the bottom glass/plastic shelf. There’s no way to separate it to scrub, wash or dry it As if this isn’t bad enough, the ice bin cannot be removed, so if you want to fill your small cooler you better expect to stand there for 8 minutes with a cup while it dispenses from the front to then dump it into your cooler. Lastly, the inside water pitcher leaks when you take it out to pour water into a cup. Have a washcloth or paper towel handy for that cleanup. I wish I could dump this back at Best Buy …. Garbage design. Waste of money.

Its nice but...
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just know the freezer doesnt fully freeze until after 24 hours once installed and the door in door feature sucks because you cant move them to your preferred size. As it is you cant really put beer bottles in the middle drawer it only fits cans and the bottom one you can put 2 gallon size things. Everything else you will have to lay in the fridge because you cant move the shelves and they dont fit things the size of a milk gallon.

Very spacious and nice features
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this appprox. a month ago. Very pleased with the space and the different areas for food. The icebox so far has had no issues as I have heard previous models with the upper ice box of this brand and other brands as well have had melting ice. The middle drawer is not meant to be an optional freezer space as you could be misled to believe, but it is a great space with various settings. We have the stainless steel finish. I would have rather had the option of plain stainless steel without the gloss finish but its still a nice finish. The auto refill pitcher is really great. I find myself drinking more water which is a good thing. The freezer is spacious. We drink quite a bit of coffee and I do like the door in door where I can just grab the milk or creamer without opening completely. I'm sure this is an energy savings. Also if you have your fridge well organized you dont have to open both sides to get to your items. Now what I dont like. I wish the shelves were adjustable in the fridge area and that the cheap plastic in some areas were replaced with a heavier plastic or better yet stainless steel as I have seen in a few similar style refrigerators. Also it appears that a small compartment was available on the freezer door for small items. The tabs to hook the shelf on the freezer door is still there but they do not make the shelf available or I didn't get it with this model. NOT SURE. Overall I am very pleased with this refrigerator and it also looks great in our kitchen.

Lots of bells and whistles
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a really good refrigerator- temperature stays where it is set. The third drawer is useful but takes away from the overall space. The interior shelves aren’t adjustable (except 1) so limited space for really tall bottles. The water pitcher is a nice feature, the ice is pretty cloudy.

Nice appliance
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great size overall. Nice features with the exception of the the adjustability of the shelves inside and on the door. Ice maker works well and quickly. Also has a pitcher inside that is great for filling things quicker. Good amount of freezer space, drawer can be freezer or fridge. Not sure I would purchase this again.

With a few modifications it would be great!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great cooling and freezing. I wish the shelves were adjustable—particularly the door shelves. Many things I am accustomed to storing Ain the door won’t fit. The shelf intended for two gallon size milk jugs will not hold two easily. They must be forced into the shelves if storing two. The notches on both sides of the shelf take up storage room. If shelves inside the refrigerator were adjustable, the space would be more usable. The ice maker “spits” crushed ice even when it is set to dispense cubes. I love the taller dispenser for water and ice! We can fill our really tall cups and bottles under it. I love the little third door that allows access to most frequently used items.

Beautiful and Functional Samsung Refrigerator
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this refrigerator because we loved the 33 inch version we had in a previous home. We use the "fourth door" constantly, as it's a perfect place to keep bottled beverages without having to open the refrigerator main doors. The black stainless is beautiful and easy to keep clean. Our only complaint is that the 33 inch version had a nice shelf on the main freezer pullout door that the 36 inch doesn't. There's a spot on the door for the shelf but no shelf provided. Great refrigerator!!!!!!

Good fridge...
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. But, for the price it should have shelves and door bins that are adjustable. The Flex drawer is very convenient, as is the Food Showcase door. I neglected to check prior to purchase if the shelves could be moved to other positions, though, and they cannot, other than one option that creates a space that is too low for most items. The door bins cannot be adjusted at all, and the movable wire divider on them is pretty useless. The built-in pitcher on the door is more useful than we thought it would be. The ice maker produces a good amount of ice, much better than our old fridge. The capacity of the door bins on the side with the ice maker is better than our old fridge, but neither door will fit two 1-gallon jugs, which was another disappointment. The wifi app connectivity doesn't do much, but it will alert you if the door is left open, which could be handy. Was very disappointed that the fridge dropped in price by over $500 just after the 15 day price match guarantee, so we could not get the reduced price. The salesman did not inform us that they would match the price if it dropped at Best Buy within 15 days of purchase, either, or we would have kept a close eye on sales. Unfortunately, we were not in a position to wait for a sale at the time we bought it.

Sharp looking fridge with nice features!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very happy with the look and features (especially the water container that refills AUTOMATICALLY!) The flex zone divider that's adjustable is nice to keep items from rolling around. Samsung app will tell you when fridge has been left open and also lets you change the temperature. A few Cons- 1) the Flex Zone "freezer" setting is NOT an actual freezer temperature so it's not usable for hard freezing 2) This ,I believe , is a big one. The shelves in the fridge part are not very adjustable in terms of alot of different heights. The left side only stays in one spot . The right side has only 1 different height you can use. Really weird considering it looks like there are spots where other models may have that option.

So far so good
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Haven't owned the fridge very long but so far so good. I like the look of the stainless finish, which seems a little nicer than other stainless appliances I have had. My only complaints so far are that I wish the interior shelves were more adjustable and when it was delivered and installed the fridge doors are slightly uneven and do not exactly align with each other. I do enjoy the flex door option for just grabbing a quick drink without having to open the whole fridge door.

||Posted . Excellent product… with small issues
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Everything is as advertised. The only quibble I have is the shelves could be more adjustable. Milk cartons, OJ cartons; those that are half gallon size. I need to cut off approximately a 1/4” off the top of these cartons to store them.

Would NOT recommend!!!!!!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best Buy started out great, delivery was on time, everything was good. Then, the freezer would not freeze. I called Best Buy and was told that because there was no technician in the area, they could not help me, that I had to call Samsung. I called, they sent someone out, he changed the circuit board and the freezer started working, but the compressor was louder than the one on our dying fridge. As I was within my return window, this fridge went back, and the refund so far, has been smooth. The shelves cannot be moved so storing multiple tall items is not a possibility.
