Spent $2000 plus on this, still doesn't work 100%

We bought it in November 2019, and from the start, the icemaker drips water down the ice chute onto the fridge and floor. NOT the water dispenser. The Icemaker. The Auger shaves a LITTLE bit of ice off as it's turning, and when it dispenses, it leaves those shavings in the chute. Like Light icy snow. And it sticks to the chute walls. We had repair people come out in the first year over 4 times to "fix" it. the rescheduling with Samsung and the repair company and the back and forth took almost a year to get the last repair person out to us. He did his best. And installed a complete new Ice maker. However, it does the same thing. And it drips down the front of the fridge, and onto the floor. After a YEAR of trying to make this right, we wound up just living with it to this day. And also the warranty was up a year later. sigh..... So it still is doing this. You spend over $2000 on a fridge and it just makes you so mad when they can't get this one thing repaired. And now, 15 months after purchase at Best Buy, the front panel for choosing Cubed/Crushed Ice, or water has now stopped working. it will dispense ice, but ONLY whole. No water. No Crushed. I have a lot of Samsung products in my family. Five S10 and S20 Galaxy phones between us all, a nice monitor, so I thought since those products are solid, the refrigerator would be as well. I would 100% without a doubt NOT recommend this product to friends. It has the potential to be a good fridge (and a bonus - I did NOT have the issues with the icemaker that a LOT of people had, and it does cool food and freeze items in the freezer) but again, I could have gotten a fridge for half this price WITHOUT a front dispenser panel and save the hassle. But I spent the money expecting it to work. And it doesn't.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don’t get me wrong I love the refrigerator it does have a lot of room with that second drawer S refrigeration but I will never buy anything from Best Buy again from the time I bought it to the time is delivered I’ve had nothing but issues with them they delivered it with a big dent in it and only wanted to give me $200 off I told him no if it was hidden I wouldn’t mind it but I would need more than that are a replacement of the refrigerator they told me they could not find one like that so they were going to give me more money off but had to request it through their higher-ups they said 48 hours at the most I will get a response I never did I waited a week still no call no nothing I called them back they said somebody closed the file so he reopened it and told me to wait another 48 hours then on the installation for the waterline it was supposed to be one day they called me and told me they could not do it till four days later I waited for that day nobody called nobody showed up I called the installation department one of them put me on hold for 10 minutes I called back and got a hold of somebody that is actually going to do something about it and told me what they were going to do I just think Best Buy is so unorganized and does not know how to treat their customers

WORST fridge design - don’t buy

The shelves aren’t adjustable (neither inside nor on the doors) the bottom shelf requires breaking your fingertips to remove it for cleaning (thx to YouTube since it’s not even in the instruction book how to remove ) …. Actually had to use two screwdrivers to push in two tabs simultaneously while lifting the shelf up. Even when you pull the bottom shelf to get it out , the French doors don’t open enough to extract it easily. See photo I’ve taken with this review . You then have to remove all of the door shelves. Once you finally wrestle it out you can’t get the glass out of the plastic base. So basically if a Turkey leaks all over (like mine did) you’re going to be stuck with dried Turkey blood inside the bottom glass/plastic shelf. There’s no way to separate it to scrub, wash or dry it As if this isn’t bad enough, the ice bin cannot be removed, so if you want to fill your small cooler you better expect to stand there for 8 minutes with a cup while it dispenses from the front to then dump it into your cooler. Lastly, the inside water pitcher leaks when you take it out to pour water into a cup. Have a washcloth or paper towel handy for that cleanup. I wish I could dump this back at Best Buy …. Garbage design. Waste of money.

My warranty ended on Oct 31 and it stopped working November 1st. Now I am stuck paying for repair services on a fridge I spent 3k on. It’s crazy that the ice maker and freezer would both go out on the same day. Lost a freezer full of food. Very disappointed.

Molds every week

You have to get down on bended knee and pray you don’t break the tabs. The ice box has to be cleaned every week otherwise it makes mold. After 5 Years don’t worth it.

Impossible to Turn it off to clean it and defrost manually all the ice coming out from the 4 top vents. The ice maker overproduced ice, so you must defrosted manually with an hot gun 2 or 3 times per year. Stay away from Samsung. They are trying to do so much, they lost the simplicity of a good fridge.

The first issue we had was the seal at the top if the quick fill pitcher leaked. We called Samsung and had a replacement sent to us. Next, the ice maker stopped working in August. I discovered the drain at the back of the ice maker froze-up and water pooled in the ice compartment. I defrosted the ice maker with a hair dryer. We experienced this issue again in January 2020. Once again, defrost with the hair dryer. We called Samsung and the repair person replaced all of the ice maker components and the circuit board. Last week the I discovered the ice maker was frozen again! We contacted Samsung and requested a repair again! Contacted the repair company to schedule an appointment only to be told Samsung cancelled the ticket. Called Samsung and they said they cancelled the ticket because they thought it was a duplicate from before...Yes it it the same issue that was not resolved. The engineering on this is horrible! DO NOT Purchase this refrigerator!!!!!! I want my money back and will never purchase Samsung again!

Was great..... for 5+ months!! Zero Stars!!

It was great until a couple of weeks ago when the freezer began to not freeze any more. We opened a warranty ticket with Samsung on 04/23/2020, and they sent a tech out on 04/27/2020. They concluded that it was a bad control board, ordered a replacement, and returned yesterday, 04/30/2020, to replace it. After replacing it, our water system quit working. The pitcher no longer auto fills, and the front panel does not dispense water. They came back today, 05/01/2020, and have now determined that the replacement board was bad, and they believe there is a compressor/ sealed system refrigerant issue. We are scheduled for our 4th tech visit next Thursday, 05/07/2020. We will have been without a freezer and flex zone for two weeks come this Wednesday. If they can not get it fixed on Thursday, I want to start the refund process. It is a very sleek and appealing refrigerator, but it is like a hot chick with a STD. My best advice is go with LG!! Our last fridge was LG, and we only had to replace it because the doors were falling off after years of young childrens' abuse.

Deceptive experience, Samsung backing Refused

I contacted Samsung, hours on the phone, holding for them, documented all deliver and purchase papers to them, they scheduled an appointment with their authorized agent out to repair the problem..1 day before the scheduled appointment they canceled the call and appointment and told us we are on our own as they do not have a authorized service company in Nevada.. Our Warranty is now null and void due to their inability to send a authorized repair company in Nevada..(really?) very convenient for them to turn their backs to us. pretty clever those foreign crooks.. Best Buy beware, you are supporting them and deceiving your American Customers... maybe you should consider selling American Products, without Fake Warranties .. that are not backed here in the United States. at Samsung`s discretion. they did leave us out, literally, out in the Cold...

Fridge is amazing... Geek squad.. TERRIBLE

First the person who took our order, Alex, asked if we needed to purchase a water hook up line for it, we said no we had that and all we needed was basic installation. He failed to mentioned that without purchasing the kit, the unit would only be dropped off and not installed despite us mentioning we wanted installation. When it was delivered I was at work while a family member accepted the delivery and told me they would not install it. I was shocked and immediately called and was told I would have to leave work and go to the store and add installation! So they couldn't correct their employees error, I would have too. So now my husband and I on that same day went to Best Buy and spoke with Jenny, When we told her we were not informed about it, she claimed her partner "took a lot of notes" and he put down we only wanted drop off. Which was complete bull! Never ever did we say drop off only we clearly asked for "basic installation" which at the point Alex could have said oh for that you need to purchase "blah blah blah" and it would have been fine. However Jenny not only made us feel like she believed we were lying, she never apologized for the inconvenience and if anything she seem annoyed that we were upset. Here is the next fun part, she told us, they could not just send a tech to go and installed the already dropped off unit, instead they would have to do a return and exchange plus installation. So they would pick up the perfectly good unit, bring a new one and install that one! That's unnecessarily complicated but fine whatever. We said ok. Now just as she was about to process this new/revised order, she informed us our order was still in "transit" so to come back tomorrow.... This was annoying, again we had to go to the store to solve an error they made. No one was trying to help us or accommodate us. The next day we went again, the previous (jenny) girl was on her break. They tried to process my order and again it was still in transit. Now they tell me they're going to call the delivery company and ask them to change the status, I mean should they not have done that yesterday!? They told me they would call me and they could do it over the phone! They could have saved me a trip and told me that the day prior. They called me the same day and took my order, I was asked to confirm the billing info for my card and name on the card. Perfect I was set or so I thought. Delivery day number 2, is the day my husband and I were moving into to our new place, where the first fridge was delivered. So while we were moving in, I get a call from the delivery driver telling me he was at my BILLING ADDRESS instead of the shipping address. For some odd reason Jenny changed the shipping address that was on the ORIGINAL order! Yes I should have checked the confirmation email but come one why the hell did she change the address! Now I call again, and guess what the order is in transit so I have to wait till end of day once the unit is return to the warehouse to reschedule! We're already a week out of the original delivery date. Now this is where it gets really confusing. I called the same day at night now and they tell me its still in transit call back tomorrow. I get an email that Sunday telling me to reschedule my appointment, I schedule it for Wednesday, that being the soonest convenient day. I realized the address is still wrong so I call back the same night, my order is still in transit and therefor I cant change the address, at this point I'm talking to someone who actually freaking cares, he says hes going to get it to his supervisor who will call me sometime tomorrow (Monday). The next day (day 2 now) nobody calls me, I call in the afternoon, she tells me the same thing order is stuck and she sees multiple notes on the order, she tells me to call back tomorrow because she wont be there to call me. Again day 3 (Tuesday) I call back and guess what I get transfer from department to department and no one can help me !! I'm telling them they're going to deliver it to the wrong address, because guess what they also cant cancel it! They tell me I'll get a call that same day, I do I explained the entire situation, I'm on the phone with him for 2-3 hours, he cancels my order but because its late and they're going to close he said he will call me on Wednesday to get it rescheduled. Day 4 (Wednesday) he actually calls me back!! I want to say his name was Christen, he was freaking helpful! We get it schedule for Monday 3/23/20, address is finally correct and everything is fine. Friday night I believe, we receive an email from Best Buy letting us not due to the coronavirus in home installation for larger appliances would be cancelled starting Monday 3/23/20. After all this, they could not install my unit!! OMG its a dam joke honestly. My original delivery date was on March 7, 2020. On March 21, 2020 we cancelled the order. GEEK SQUAD WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!, Considering you can buy this very same unit from a bunch of other places who also price match, I'd say take your money elsewhere they're not worth it. As an Elite Member (literally means nothing) I can promise you their service is horrible. I will never purchase large appliances from them again, neither will my family and extended family along with our friends.

For an expensive Fridge it shouldn't have these issues. Not a happy Customer for having it for a short time' I believe I need to get a certain amount reduce on my financing. Would like to be contacted if not' I'm going to make a major complaint and file a suit..

Fridge Filter Failed in 3 weeks.

After calling Samsung they informed me that the filter was bad and that I would need to go buy a replacement. They were extremely rude and didn't care at all that the fridge had stopped functioning properly within 3 weeks. In addition the door hinge has never operated properly or smoothly.

We recommend that you replace the water filter every six months for better quality water. The refrigerator's water filter light will let you know when those six months are up and should be reset after changing the filter. Broken ice maker, again!

The salesman said they have since fixed the issue. Well, here we are almost 3 years later and the ice maker is broken! I called Samsung, they said sorry here’s a list of 3rd party companies we work with. You will need to pay out of pocket to fix it, we can’t do anything for you. After doing some research this is a common issue with them, so common there is a lawsuit against Samsung. I now have 2 non functioning ice makers. Do not buy! We are spreading the word as far as we can.

DO NOT BUY

Owned for 3 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.So after 20 years with a Kenmore fridge, we decided it was time to buy a new one and bought this hunk of junk in January 2020. By Feb 2020, we noticed that things were not cold and the freezer intermittently was defrosting items because it was not cold enough (but the temp inside will give you a false temperature), In March we called Samsung and they sent out a repair company. Once reset (turn off the breaker for 5 min and then turn on), our fridge temp was 52 and the freezer was 31. After 5 visits by the repair company, they declared it a lemon. That was 6 days ago and we are still fighting with Samsung to give us our money back, compensate us for the haul away and delivery of a new (not Samsung) fridge and compensate us for about 6 weeks of food lost...during a pandemic nonetheless, with 5 adults in my household. Their customer service is awful and their company will just keep re-routing you to different low level customer service agents without resolution. This is a multi-billion dollar company that is horrible to their customers, especially those with legitimate problems, like a fridge that is dead after 3 months. DO NOT BUY this fridge- take it from an honest customer who learned the hard way. Hope this helps someone.

Do not buy!

I constantly have to reset it or have a new motor put in from bestbuy at my own expense. It has all together just stopped working. It also leaks water into the fridge nonstop when it is working. Save yourself and do not buy this fridge!

Worst shelf design of any fridge I've owned

I liked the black stainless steel look and exterior design. And then, I began moving items from my old fridge to this monstrosity. The first thing I noticed is that I cannot fit 2 gallons of milk into the door compartment meant to hold milk or other jugs of liquid. Sure, I can squeeze a second jug in there but it would have needed to be open first and the sides compromised to fit. Then to make matters worse, there's limited options to actually fit a second gallon of milk, or a two liter bottle of soda on the inside shelves. The shelves do not fit anything... and really cannot be manipulated in a way to utilize the cubic space I spent extra money to have. I can't fit a bottle of ketchup or salad dressings on any of the door shelves and they're too tall for any of the shelves inside the fridge as well. Sure, I can slide one of the shelves half way back but why should I have to pull out bottles of salad dressings and ketchup to reach something smaller behind it... and then that fix limits the space for the upper shelf. Its awful. And I just realized that a piece of the door shelf in the freezer is missing. I'll be contacting Best Buy for their assistance getting this part but if they wont accept a return after a minimal time period, I have little faith that they wont refer me to Samsung. I purchased the fridge while my kitchen was being remodeled so it sat in the corner for 3 weeks before I could begin to load it. So unfortunately, now I cannot return it. I have a brand new refrigerator that has been plugged in for about a day and its not returnable thanks to Best Buy's return policy. For as often as I use a fridge, it's absurd that I'm stuck with a purchase this expensive with no option but to be disappointed every time i open the door. Best Buy's return policy is a joke for appliances.

Nightmare Fridge

By far the worst fridge you can get. The fridge is awesome but not for the price. Yes it is expensive and it has a lot of technology in it that most people don’t even need in it. The worse part of my experience is when Best Buy comes to deliver the fridge they don’t know how to set it up correctly. The first fridge the freezer was an issue because after two weeks we noticed that the freezer was becoming hot and not frozen like below zero. So we had Best Buy send us a all new one and when the delivery guy was setting it up he pressed on the water pitcher on the outside to pour water out to make sure it worked but what he didn’t do was setup the pitcher inside the fridge correctly and remove all the packaging that initially comes with the fridge. Because he didn’t do this properly and the water line which is now connected started spilling water all over the fridge because once the water line is connected and the fridge is closed it will start refilling the pitcher. So because the water spilled and the water got backed up the hose inside the fridge decides to burst and come through 2 of the 4 ac vents in the freezer filling the freezer with water which turned into a sheet of ice. Once we disconnected everything for them to pick it up the fridge decides to spill its excess water trapped in the fridge all over the floor when it felt like it and when my Wife and I had to put towels all over the kitchen floor multiple times. So Best Buy finally took the fridge back and when they got it outside the fridge spilled water everywhere what a nightmare. Thank his we never got rid of our old fridge and put it in the garage. What I recommend anyone buying a fridge is take your time looking for the right fridge. Don’t buy display models because of the price. Read all the reviews on each model and see if they have been issues with it in the past to determine which one you buy. My wife and I are gonna wait for the Labor Day says and may go to PC Richard instead. Good luck.

Stay Away.... ICE MAKER TERROR

Go and google french door Samsung refrigerators ice makers. It is not a situation where you think it will not happen to me or teh one I buy. IT WILL. This is not a BEST BUY problem at all, I love shopping at BEST BUY. I also love Samsung products have them all over the house. I am reaching out to Samsung to see if they are willing to do anything to make me whole on this problem. If they make it right, I will come back and report. (Also there is a class action lawsuit on this issue)
