Got this while i was still doing long haul so i could have a slightly bigger screen on the tv mount to see from across my bed. This is by far the nicest 1080p monitor ive owned, you really dont /need/ anything more for gaming specifically. Anything beyond this is a want. you can notice the difference between 144hz and 240 but i cant say ive played anything where that difference is so critical and necessary, but it sure does look nice. Just got a g5 as an upgrade to treat myself for a primary monitor, having the g4 as my backup/discord screen feels wrong because its still an amazing screen for games. Have recommended this to every and anyone ive seen in the market for a monitor to get themselves set up with. Dont really have any dislikes to toss out there, someone who is used to better would probably have some ish to say about it but im drawing blanks. Would recommend buying when its around 200, have seen it fluctuate a bit over time not sure where it regularly sits now.

What a great monitor. Bought this because my laptop screen was too small to keep open a lot of things I need. Just found out I love using the monitor in the vertical position! You can use it horizontal or vertical and can adjust the height to about 6 inches.

The colors are surprisingly good for a monitor in this price range, and the IPS panel gives great viewing angles. I also like how adjustable the stand is—it tilts, swivels, and even rotates, which is perfect for my setup. FreeSync and G-Sync compatibility are a big plus too, no screen tearing at all. I’ve been using this Samsung 27” Odyssey FHD 240Hz monitor mainly for gaming, and overall it’s been a solid experience. The 240Hz refresh rate makes gameplay feel extremely smooth, especially in fast-paced shooters, and G-Sync works well with no noticeable tearing. Colors look good out of the box and motion clarity is excellent. That said, the 1080p resolution at 27 inches isn’t ideal for everyone, as text can look a bit soft compared to 1440p monitors. The stand is functional but not very premium, and HDR performance is fairly basic. Still, for competitive gaming and high refresh performance, it delivers great value.

Got this gaming monitor for half off. Very happy I was able to keep 240 fps and get a nice screen size with it. Works perfect. 0 issues with it. Very nice monitor for gaming or watching videos.

This monitor is excellent while we use it with our Xbox series S. The series S cannot take advantage of 4K but is awesome because of the 120hz refresh rate. This beautiful monitor looks great had zero blemishes (dead pixels) and has worked so well with the Xbox. We used the Xbox on a huge tv but the 1ms is so critical for games such as COD, or sports games, rocket league etc etc. all you have to do is use a monitor with the 1ms refresh and you will never want to go to a tv again as competitively there is nothing more important that having that advantage. Now back to the monitor. Very nice construction, great base piece, nice controls on the bottom to adjust things easily. Also surprisingly they give you an excellent quality hdmi and also if you are hooking up with a computer they include the better option (display port cable). The black and whites on the screen are vibrant (to my eyes), I didn’t have to adjust anything at all out of the box. Really no negatives that I can say besides maybe speakers? But what monitors include speakers anymore and why not use your own headphones or speakers anyway…

I’ve owned this monitor for awhile now and I’ve gotta say, it’s the best one I’ve owned. It’s super easy to setup and get going especially for those not so tech savvy like myself. For such an affordable price it’s a must buy for those trying to get a really good quality high Hz monitor but also not trying to break the bank!

Summary: The Samsung - 27" Odyssey G40B with 240hz refresh rate is a pretty decent gaming monitor coming from a 34" 60hz work monitor. Scrolling and moving objects are noticeably smoother. MAKE SURE YOU USE THE DISPLAY CABLE AND NOT HDMI TO ENABLE ADAPTIVE-SYNC or else you're not using the full potential of the the monitor. Perfect size for gaming or being productive in a work from home setup. Samsung's menu system on this monitor is not so intuitive and can take a little getting use to and even reading the manual. Color looks to be good but you'll have to fiddle around with the presets/custom settings. Overall not a bad choice if you're looking for a mid level gaming monitor. In the box: Odyssey G4 Monitor Rear monitor bezel Power brick Display and HDMI cable User Interface: The Samsung UI can be confusing at first but after some poking around I quickly got used to the menu system, like most UI, the center button is the menu access button and using the 4 surrounding buttons to navigate through the menu system. You'll have to mess around with the UI to get used to it, I really didn't have any issues finding what I needed. Conclusion: After some testing like the standard UFO monitor test, it confirmed the monitor refresh rate was 240 capable. If you want the most out of the monitor make sure to use compatible GPU, updated drivers and importantly the Display cable; some people think they can get away with using an HDMI cable. I'd recommend this monitor.

Purchased this monitor for my 19 year old son and I can honestly say it's a huge upgrade over his last monitor. The colors and sharpness are eye popping. He raves about the low to almost non existent latency. With the refresh rate being 240Hz it's on par with high end gaming monitors for way less. Great pick up.

Of ALL the gaming monitors i have had over the years, this one is by far the best one yet. It’s perfect for your daily gamer or even your grind and hour logger. The display is absolutely gorgeous and it has so many settings to change lighting, gaming mode (mts, fps, racing, etc) with additional options to change your refresh rate. Me personally i run it on 240hz with my PC and i run almost every single hard hitting game at a bare minimum of 112fps (rust, arma, finals, etc) which is insane for these heavily modded games. 1920x1080 is great for your daily gamer/ streamer.
