this monitor performs really well for what you pay for it. Great picture quality, high refresh rate, and HDR (albeit hdr400) provide for a very enjoyable gaming and watching experience. Definitely a top budget monitor.

I picked this up yesterday and had a full night of gaming on it. I mostly play Apex Legends and I play on Xbox series S but also some Nintendo Switch games (Zelda, Mario, etc. etc.) I had been playing a on 32 inch Samsung TV that I got back in 2016 or 2017 and the difference is night and day. The refresh rate and resolution are amazing. I've been playing Apex for a few years now but getting this monitor makes me feel like I'm playing a brand new game. No joke I feel like I'm playing better on this monitor. Price is a bit high considering there are probably similar options that cost less but I have been using Samsung for decades and the quality is always high and they last forever. Treat yourself! Console players: Remember to set your console resolution to 1440 and your refresh rate to 120 hz 1080p on 32 inch :/ 1440 on 27 inch :D Comparison image has the Odyssey G5OD display on the left and the old Samsung TV on the right. I hadn't even dialed in the color, brightness, contrast or set the console res to 1440 on the new one yet and there is a NOTICEABLE difference.

Upgraded from an MSI curved 27 inch 1080 p, abd ker me tell you night abd day difference the colors are bright an amazing the fps is just the perfect amount for a noticeable pleasure on the eyes, use is a dark and bright environment and it rocks, and yes the 27inch flat ips screen is worth the money in 2025, wanted the 32 but glad they were sold out.uch gratitude to bestbuy and the kind employee the reassured me on my purchase

I won't sit here and pretend to be a monitor expert. I'm sure you can find lots of thorough reviews deep diving into the specs and offerings and how they compare to other competing offerings. For what it's worth, though, my experience with this monitor has been excellent so far. I have two monitors in my setup so I bought 2 of these to finally have a matching set and the picture quality is great on both. Plus, the stand the monitor comes with has a lot of adjustability options for height and angle. One piece of advice I will pass on to anyone who is like me and this is their first monitor with a resolution above HD: do not pair a 2K monitor with a regular HD monitor in the same setup. I tried and it was extremely jarring to look between the two. So if you have two HD monitors in your setup and you're looking to upgrade one of them to this 2K monitor, I recommend upgrading them both at the same time to maintain the same resolution between displays. I’ve been using this monitor as my main display at home, and it has been a great purchase. For the price, it’s an excellent monitor with good picture quality and versatility. Setting it up was very easy—just plug and play. It fits well on a small table, making it a great option for limited spaces. One of the best features is that you can use it both horizontally and vertically, depending on your needs. Overall, I’m very satisfied with this monitor and would definitely buy it again! Would have like inbuilt speakers.

have been using it since i’ve got it and it a has great graphics for what i play. just wish there was an easier way to control brightness and screen settings and such instead of using button pad under the screen

This monitor is amazing! So far it has 100% lived up to the expectations! The 180hz and 1440p give such a crisp look while playing the featured games that I play. The color contrast when watching videos are 5 stars. So far, so good! rate this monitor a 5 out of 5

This is a great gaming monitor. Be sure to use a displayport cable if you want the full speed refresh rate. It takes a little bit of tweaking for HDR gaming, and once set, it looks great. It's awesome for first person shooters because of the fast motion, hardly any motion blur. But for slower moving games, you can definitely see the aliasing on the edges because of the 1440p resolution. The resolution is really not a problem for such a small screen, but I also have a 4K monitor and it is much crisper. Overall I'm very happy with this monitor, I also got one for my kid running an RTX 3000 series video card. He's pretty happy.

I love this monitor, I have bought monitors in the past that I absolutely hated, motion blur, low quality screen, etc. This monitor is gorgeous, I love the picture, QHD is perfect for a gamer that likes performance but doesn’t want to shovel out 800-1500+ to have 4k at high FPS. 180FPS is perfect and the screen quality will not disappoint! I love the adjustable height and the fact I can flip the monitor vertical if I ever needed to. Overall very smooth FPS good screen quality I would buy another one if I needed it!

Best monitor I've used. Got it on sale so I'm sure my opinion would be different at full price, but makes my games look great and it super bright during the day. No complaints

Well I gave this beautiful monitor only a good . Picture is great! I have a GIGABYTE GeForce RTX™ 3060 Ti VISION in my tower and again picture is great. So why only a 4 rating? Well my first gripe is the power on or Standby LED does not work, but I do not find this enough (so far) to drag it back to Best Buy for an exchange. The other problem is a general lack of information on setup. My other monitor's in the past I could put in standby and when the I started the computer they would start up even if it had been days. This Monitor is a little tricky as I have to set the hours I want it in standby. This made it slightly more complicated because again the on/standby LED doesn't work. Otherwise besides their is a general lack of 3rd party info out there due to the fact it was just released in April of 2024. All that said I love the picture on this monitor no matter if gaming, surfing the net or viewing my wife's hi-def photography. I still recommend it!

The first one I got came with a dead pixel, so I returned it and got another, and it works perfectly. Good color and refresh rate, with little ghosting. Monitor can be angled in almost any direction.

I’ve been using the Samsung Odyssey G5 for a while now, and overall it’s a solid gaming monitor for the price. The 27-inch flat screen looks super clean, and the 1440p resolution with a 165Hz refresh rate makes games look really sharp and smooth. The colors are decent, and the contrast is nice thanks to the VA panel, so darker scenes look pretty good. It handles most games really well, though there can be a bit of motion blur in really fast games. The stand is basic — it only tilts and doesn’t move up or down — and the build quality feels a bit light, but it’s fine once it’s on your desk. The HDR isn’t anything crazy since it doesn’t get that bright, but it still adds a little more life to the picture. Overall, the G5 is a great pick if you want a flat 1440p monitor with high refresh rates without spending a lot. It’s not perfect, but it’s definitely worth it for the price.

Very excellent monitor. Got this on Black Friday deal. G-Sync for under $200 is almost unheard off. Great screen quality. Great refresh rate and 1ms - great buy.

Like always samsung has top of the line product. The image is great, no speaker, great for gaming and the only issue I have is the brightness. If you have a bright room I would reconsidered. If your room stays in the dark side then it would be perfect.

The screen is vibrant and beautiful. I have it mounted to a 4-monitor mount and setup was super easy. I just used my standard mount's software and plugged it in. The screen is responsive, the perfect size for my needs, and has a lot of customization for those who may need it. My primary use is photoshop. It works well with my tablet.

Nice size monitor with easy set up out of the box. Took me a sec to figure out the power button. Hardly had to adjust any settings. Very nice picture quality and smooth gaming.
