Samsung 27 Inch OLED G6 Gaming Monitor
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Samsung 27-inch OLED gaming monitor comes packaged securely in a cardboard box with foam panels to block any damage while in shipping. Within 10 minutes of unboxing the monitor was set up and functioning. With a response time of 0.03 milliseconds your gaming experience will be top notch. The OLED type display is a QD type. This provides the user with brighter and more vibrant colors, along with unlimited viewing angles without losing the brightness or sharpness. The maximum viewing angle is 178 degrees both horizontal and vertical. The maximum refresh rate is 500Hz with a resolution of 2560 X 1440. There are 2 HDMI 2.1 connection spots with a single Display Port. There are no USB ports and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The dimensions are 21.8 X 24.1 X 10.4 with the stand and 13.9 X 24.1 X 1.9 without the stand. The stand is also tiltable and has a height adjustment feature. You can also use a VESA Wall mount of 100mm by 100mm. There is an antiglare finish to the screen. There are no built-in web cameras or speakers. The warranty is 3 years on parts and labor. This gaming monitor is so good that you will want to upgrade your computer to get full advantage of what is offered. After playing and using the monitor for 8 to 9 hours a day I can say that I did not have any eye strain or headaches. If you are looking for the best of the best this monitor is right up there.

My First OLED Monitor
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I hate and love to say it. This monitor has ruined my other monitors. It is really that good. I have not tested out the 500hz refresh yet, so some of these comments might not be accurate at that refresh rate but at the 240 and 120 hz refresh rate. The image quality is superb. I have an older 32 inch 1440p panel and a 2 year old 4k 32 inch panel both from Samsung. This 27inch OLED Monitor absolutely destroys my other monitors. Even at 1440p resolution. The OLED and actual HDR image is better than the 4k panel I have been using daily for the past 2 years. I am a little hesitant for the long-term use case as it is an OLED panel but they are saying the new oleds don't experience burn in. I will edit this review if/when my OLED Monitor experiences burn in. (Hopefully never) The 0.03 ms image generation and high refresh has made this the only gaming monitor I use in competitive titles like Valrant, CSGO, Rocket League. I was not expecting much from this as it is only 1440p resolution. Dont be fooled. The image is better than most 4k monitors on the market. Great build quality. Bezels are slightly thicker than you expect for a modern screen worth noting but not a complaint.

Exquisite picture quality
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're in the market for a upgrade to you monitor, Samsung does another decent job at making more stuff that'll make them take out money. From a purely monitor spec perspective, this one comes in pretty nicely with 0.03 ms response time, 500Hz refresh rate and G-Sync. I'm slowly trying to update my screen layout with slightly smaller screens like this 27" monitor just for usability and scaling efforts. Personally, 32" is my sweet spot but I'm slowly getting used to this size monitor. Has all the usual hook ups one would need/expect in a monitor. I currently have a 14900k/5090 so this monitor can't keep up but it does a decent job nonetheless. Quality and clarity on the monitor is quite excellent and I have no complaints about it. Even at 1440p, still and very rich and vibrant screen display that'll work on any game. Now, I'm debating on using this monitor as a side monitor since I do have 2 ultra wide's as my main displays. Even then, the quality of the monitor is still good for use as a main or side monitor depending on your needs.

Great OLED Panel. Feature-Rich. Some wishes...
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had never used an OLED before this year, but after getting a bit familiar, and now after having some time with this one, I can safely say I don’t think I ever want to go back. This monitor delivers a very high-quality image, looks great, is feature-rich, with a somewhat ridiculous refresh rate, and more or less is everything I am looking for in a monitor. More on that later. Build-wise, it is all nicely done. I guess what you would expect from Samsung. Easy to get set up, solid, and a nice weight. The entire monitor is quite thin. Range of motion is somewhat limited, but for my needs this is not an issue. While I am not really a fan of LED and things that are overly “gamery,” I think the lighting provided on the back is done well, and somewhat subtle when in use. I do also appreciate it can be turned off. When it comes to look? I really like it. Black (mostly). Clean. Plain. Modern. Some would say boring, which is somewhat perfect for me. The stand is also rather basic looking, again, I like but it is also compact. Placement on a desk should not be an issue in any way. Cables can also be channeled here. Overall, it just has a clean look. My only wish would be that they just made it all black. The stand is less of a concern, but I just am not sure why they decided to frame the panel in silver. It is not an issue, really, but it just takes away from the overall look to me. Connectivity is solid, but perhaps a bit basic. 2 HDMI 2.1, 1 Display Port 1.4, Headphone Jack, and a couple of USB-A ports. I would imagine most should be covered and happy here, but I would not have minded seeing a USB-C as well, given its usefulness and this monitor being premium in many ways. As for the picture quality, the most important aspect I was looking for, well, they simply did not miss. Full stop. It is fantastic. Details are crispy and sharp. Colors are full, detailed, and very accurate. HDR noticeable. Content is vivid and bright, while the blacks are inky, and probably the best I have seen in my daily use. Beyond that though, performance is just as fantastic. The refresh rate coupled with the response time is a wonderful combination and just feels great together. I have not experienced any tearing, flickering, lag, just anything so far while gaming. Everything has been extremely smooth as well as consistent. As expected, it also is great just in the day to day, be it general life tasks or media consumption. Lastly, and perhaps I am in the minority here, but I prefer matte screens. I can not stand glare. Not sure exactly what they are doing here tech wise, but I like it. As a whole, I really could not ask for more or be happier here. Additionally, given the nature of OLED technology, it is nice to see Samsung providing some features to prevent burn in and take care of the monitor. I iike so much about this monitor, and I know this is personal thing, but I just wish it had speakers. I know many will use headphones or external speakers, and I do often used headphones myself, but it would just be nice to be able to casually watch something and have native sound from the monitor. I guess this is the market know, but I think it is a bit of a miss. That said, ultimately, I am very happy with this monitor and like it very much. It is well-built, is so close to perfect looking to me, has some quality features, and delivers a truly wonderful image, which, in the end, is most important to me. Despite my desire for speakers, or some of my other minor nitpicks, for the performance and all that you get, I think there is real value here.
