    Won't stream video, becomes unresponsive

    I had high hopes for this TV based on the positive reviews and the Samsung name, but this model is clearly a dud. It connected to the Internet fine, but refused to stream any video at all, and eventually locked up and became unresponsive. I had to disconnect the power to regain control for a second (failed) attempt. We have iPhones, iPads, laptops, Google Chromecast, a Sony "smart" DVD player, a Wii -- all stream video flawlessly on our network, so it's not my ISP, cable modem, or router. So back to the store it goes, and I'll stick with a more traditional "dumb" TV (possibly something other than a Samsung) and a Roku.

    We purchased this for our daughter for Christmas. We spent 3-4 hours on Christmas morning trying to get it to work. We called Samsung who advised us that the software(firmware) was not up to date. You would think that the television would automatically update it but, it would not. Instead we had to follow this long list of instructions and download the updated software on a clean USB then downlaod into the t.v. That did not work either. By this time we had wasted our entire Christmas morning trying to set-up the television and was no longer going to waste our holiday on it. It went back to the store the next day!

    my husband had me return this item because he said it is not too small but too big to place on top of our kitchen counter but we like the Samsung tvs we have in our other rooms

    Defective out of the box

    TV reboots randomly throughout the day, usually in the middle of "breaking news" or at the end of a mystery when the murderer is being named. I called Samsung after doing all sorts of troubleshooting with both the TV and the cable. Because that took me more than 30 days, I cannot return the TV to Best Buy. Samsung's solution is for me to ship the TV from Michigan to New Jersey to be repaired. It will take "about 2 weeks". Not happening. Now I know why it was so cheap. It's going in the trash and I will buy a quality product.

    We called Samsung. We spent many hours trying to do downloads. They even sent us a flashdrive with the download. Never did work. Returning it today.

    Picture turned green after 93 days.

    Loved it for the first 92 days - fantastic picture quality and easy to use. On day 93 the picture turned green. It looks like a bad cartoon. Got online and found that this is a common problem with Samsung models - some chip goes bad.

    The TV itself is good. The volume is very hard to hear. We bought a smaller TV because of the space, even added computer speakers to try and enhance the volume. Still not pleased

    Clearly states one component and one composite input. Does NOT say that it is one or the other. Only one device can be used at a time. The truth is it has 1 component input which can be used, like all component inputs, as a composite instead. That is not the same at all. This will be returned.

    Television broke, Samsung repair failed TWICE

    I bought this television and had problems with the HDMI connection immediately, with the picture going in and out. I changed ports and it worked for a while, then went completely out. I tested cords on other devices and they were fine. The warranty covered repairs, but it was quite a hassle having to pack it up and send it in (and considerable time spent on phone). After sending in twice, it still doesn't work and Samsung will not replace or exchange. They've lost a customer for life.

    This tv does have a browser, but you can't watch content off the internet because the flash player on the tv is out of date and it cannot be updated. By the time I found out what the problem was, it was too late to return. Using the remote to navigate smart features is grueling. Tried to use Samsung tablet as a remote with "Smart View" but the tv will not recognize. Plan on buying a keyboard if you get this TV. Picture quality isn't that good.

    No control of external speaker

    Disappointed that I have no control of my external speaker. I replaced an Insignia 24 inch with this yesterday, and I had control of the external speaker system with it. We mainly use this for Pandora out on our porch, and everyone knows that the range of the volume of songs on Pandora is very wide. I used to be able to just adjust this with the remote in a second, and now I have to get up and walk across the porch to adjust the external speaker. Probably going to take this back. I got too spoiled by the Insignia.

    A lemon or is it the model

    We have had nothing but trouble with this tv. We have spent 4 1/2 hours with Samsung's customer service and now they want us to bring in or send the tv because it is not large enough for in-home service. The tv freezes - 6 people have tried to fix it - I am very disappointed in Samsung.

    No netflix bjtton like vizio. No keypad on back of remote like vizio. Store did not display the remotes or even a photo of remote.
