    We have owned our unit for a little more than two years. Within the first six months, the ice machine started to intermittently freeze up and stop working. By the end of the year, it was freezing up at least once a week, and occasionally leaking water onto our hardwood floors. And by year two it was freezing up every other day, leaking onto our floors and the interior temperature was not at a safe level (10 degrees higher than the computer board's reading. Today we deal with water on our floors and a seized up icemaker every other day, and an internal temperature 10 degrees warmer...... no amount of visits from Samsung repair people can make up for the frustration of ruined hardwoods, drinking sour milk, or the smell of spoiled meat. I hope my experiences help you make a sound buying decision. I wish Best Buy or Samsung would save us from this disaster but no luck.

    Water leaked and ice fell out on occasion. Took 4 days for the freezer to get cold enough to but frozen items in. Would not recommend if your old fridge dies. May take to long to get things cold again.

    We did like this refrigerator when we first got it. About 1 year in the freezer light went out. The replacement cost of bulb was too expensive to do anything about. About 18 months in the display for the flex drawer went out. Now we cannot tell the temp we have it set. 2 years in, the water slowed down to 45 seconds to fill 6 oz. (website says 6 oz in 10 seconds) tried new filters and new supply line. Just something in the refrigerator. Fast forward 4 years, now about 3 times a month we wake up to a puddle in the middle or our floor. It leaks out of our refrigerator and we do not know the source. Mor often we find water/ice in the flex drawer. They said we have our temps set wrong on the refrigerator. Do not buy a Samsung appliance.

    We did a nlot of research and read reviews. Supposedly Samsung fixed the ice maker issues. Wrong. We bought this last June and Samsung is coming out for a 3rd time to fix the ice maker. It freezes so you can't even pull the ice tray out, it makes a loud grinding noise when trying to get ice and there is no difference in the ice size when you push cubed or crushed. If you decide to buy, MAKE SURE YOU GET THE BEST BUY WARRANTY. You will need it. On a possitive note...Samsung has been really great to work with and the repair guy Paul is super nice and knowledgable. He's been over so much I feel like I really know him. Sad. This is also not fingerprint resistant. Other than those issues, I love everythign else about this refrigerator.

    Looks Gorgeous But Ice Maker Is Horrible

    I purchased this refrigerator on August 4, 2019. I love the look but the performance of the ice maker has just been horrible. During the first year, it made ice but it would take a good 30 seconds to fill a normal sized drinking glass. It would also leak a little water from the dispenser area. Not a big deal....I would just fold a paper towel and place it under the dispenser. Then during the 2nd and 3rd years, it would go through periodic cycles of making no ice at all and/or freezing up inside of the ice maker. Then, suddenly it would start making ice again. Then, a few months back, it stopped making ice completely and then it started leaking from somewhere inside onto my kitchen floor. At that point I had had it and I shut off the water and have been without ice since then. I do have a couple of those old fashioned ice trays that I fill up and keep in the freezer, but this is ridiculous. This was not a cheap refrigerator, yet it performs like one. I wish somebody would have warned me about this. But, I hope this helps someone else make a better decision than I did.

    Piece of trash

    I don't understand how anybody can love this refrigerator. It is not fingerprint proof whatsoever. The ice and water dispenser rusted out. My Flex drawer lining cracked from back to front and I can't seem to find the replacement part anywhere online under $300. Oh yeah and after 2 years all of my food containers bottles jars Etc have condensation in them most likely cause by the rancid smell that's coming from inside the cabinet of the refrigerator, most likely the insulation got wet some way somehow. Do not buy Samsung products don't even get me started on their dishwasher that totally rusted out on me.

    this is an excellent product , its been with us about 4 years had not have any major issues only once had water dispense issue and it was resolved on time. I would recommend this .

    Good design VERY POOR Icemaker. Not Recommended

    We purchased this refrigerator a year ago and like it for quietness, design and most features. Our one BIG problem is the icemaker. The icemaker spills water down the back and it freezes, which eventually results in the unit completely freezing up and inability to remove the ice container. We have had had the unit serviced once already and a second repair scheduled for this week. In the last year I've had to manually thaw the icemaker four times. I dont recommend this refrigerator due to the poor design of the icemaker.

    We purchased this fridge about 4 years ago. About 13 months after we bought it, we started having major issues with it. Since the warranty is 12 months, the first 3 repairs were out of our pocket to the tune of over $800!!! When it broke the 4th time in less than 5 years, we just couldn't justify putting any more money into it. We are scrapping it and getting a different brand. We have since joined a FB social media group with over 19,000 (yes, that is NOT a typo), unhappy Samsung refrigerator owners. Worst thing we EVER bought and will never buy another Samsung item as long as I live and breath. Don't do it. I loved my fridge for 12 1/2 months and have cursed it every single day since. When I tried to work with someone at Samsung, they didn't care. It was the worst experience I have ever had in my 53 years! I'd love to share the videos that I have of the loud noise that this makes and the ones that show that the freezer and climate drawer don't work at all. We have tossed almost $1,000 worth of food because the freezer fails and the cooling unit doesn't maintain a safe and consistent temperature!!!

    A nightmare

    as you may have seen in other reviews, this is a nightmare to get any warranty work done. The auto defroster becomes a solid block of ice. to manually defrost requires taking all the stugff inside apart, prying off the cover on the defroster mechanism, then using a heat gun to melt the ice block on the coils. otherwise the temp in the entire unit gradully goes up to about 55 degrees. say goodby to all your fresh food. No repair service will fix it, and samsung doesnt provide much help. our regular repair guy say just dont buy samsung refrigerators, there are about 4 models that have this problem...

    Nightmare of a refrigerator

    Samsung absolutely is one of the worst when it comes to refrigerators. I wish i had never purchased. I have had to replace the ice maker twice. Once while still under warranty. The freezer drains water into the bottom of the freezer and now need to mine ice and break up a sheet of 2 inch thick ice that will freeze the drawer in place if you forget to catch it before it gets to thick

    This is the worst appliance of any sort that I have ever owned. I advise only reading the reviews of people who have owned this at least one year. Worked great for the first year. After that - the worst. First, as everyone must know by now, the ice maker will stop working. How there is no class action lawsuit is beyond me. Buying bags of ice adds up. And yes, this may be a "first world problem" - but for the money, the ice maker should work. Second, I have had to replace the piece on the hinge that closes the gap between the doors twice in 4 years. It's expensive. If you don't replace it, then guess what? The frig doesn't stay cold. Third, it is a nightmare to remove the main shelf above the produce drawers. A nightmare. I had to find a youtube video to figure it out - and I'm pretty good at stuff like that. And yes, you do need to remove it. Spills and crumbs get under that huge piece of glass easily. Fourth, the water is now not working. The appliance repair guy came and was going to cost over $500 to have that fixed. I cannot tell you what an awful appliance this has been. And I mean it's worse than a front-loading washing machine. It's become a "thing" now - the dreaded Samsung refrigerator. Do not buy this thing. I have no idea where these good reviews are coming from, but I doubt Samsung will allow this review of mine.

    CRAP! dont even bother, the ice maker is cruddy, the compressors go out all the time and the warranty is garbage. Save the headaches and pick up a whirlpool or kenmore. We lost all of the food ($600) and what we had bought for thanksgiving dinner and the repair place cant get out till the day after. My garage fridge is 28 yrs old and still kicking. DO NOT BUY Samstung at all.

    Do not buy! This refrigerator gas given my nothing but problems. Ice machine leaks and they’ve replaced every part including the door.. still leaks, I have to plug paper towels in the shelf to absorb the water. They sent out a tech and said it was because of the sealant . Sealed it, still leaking. This will be my 5 th repair. I am scheduling and other appointment. We will see. Stay away from Samsung appliances. Not worth savings little for appliances that do not hold up.

    Didn't think I could hate a refrigerator this much! I absolutely cannot even open our ice maker - it is frozen or stuck shut. As another reviewer said, the ice that comes out is all powdery like snow, but I can't open it to even empty or see what's going on because it is absolutely frozen or stuck shut. We had some milk that spilled over in the fridge, and leaked under the edges of the glass on the shelf over the vegetable drawer. We absolutely could not disengage the shelf from the fridge to clean it and get between the glass and the shelf frame. The online support sent us a picture of the tabs to squeeze to remove the water filter apparatus from the frame of the shelf, but the button was actually a tab that was in no way movable. We had to lodge knives to create space between the glass and the frame, and spray water in to clean out the milk. Wasted about 2 hours, and while we were working, the fridge began protesting that the door was open by blinking the lights on and off, and then eventually making all the lights go out, so we had to work with flashlights. What an absolute &%&* mess. Storage in doors is terrible and parts are unusable, Can't help but think they should have spent less time on making a fridge that could "talk" to me electronically and more time on the basics of a refrigerator - especially the ability to clean it! Don't waste your money!

    Our ice maker broke after 3 uses and we are still waiting for repair under geek squad contract. The water dispenser jar was a major draw for us but it leaked after 1 month and when got another one. After a few month though we really that mold was forming on the cover ring. so we stop using. The delivery had several issues: - they dropped the fridge on concrete stairs and damaged it but it took so long to get the fridge that I decided to keep and take the $100 Best Buy gift card. any damage would be covered by warranty so I did not worry. - Then they did not set the fridge correctly and I spent many hours with Samsung on the phone to reconfigure because my fridge was not cooling Back to ice maker, we did not have a need for the ice maker but wanted the water dispenser outside the door, so we still bought the fridge and to mitigate the risk, we bought the extended warranty contract after seeing the horrible reviews of the ice maker. We had 2 no show appointments and geek squad contractor AIG does not seem to know what they are doing to dispatch people. still waiting and no end in sight. very impactful sine they give you a 8-5pm time window. Do not recommend the extended warranty.
