Controls need to be improved. Setting up the right temp is a challenge even with the control knob.

The install was easy. But setting up the Smart Thing feature was a little harder than it should have been. And it uses 2.4ghz instead of 5ghz. The cooking time and heat settings will take a little time to get correct. The rapid boil takes less than 3 minutes.

This cooktop cooks fantastic. It’s fast, the induction tech is a game changer, it looks great, is flexible and so much more. The one downside, which I think is true for all capacitive controlled cooktops: is if the cooktop gets wet from a spill, steam, condensation, or anything else, the controls can get finicky or shut off. Which is stressful and hard to manage on time sensitive cooking. This is deeply annoying, but also feels like a trade off for no knobs.

I couldn't wait for have it in my home and really i'm impressed with this cooktop, it is excellent about details with aestetics and also functionality, The high price of it when purchased avoid me to qualify it with 5 stars.

We were surprised that BBY came to insure the cooktop would fit. Two days the scheduled delivery occurred in less than an hour. The Samsung cooktop is faster, hotter, and cleaner. We love the blue lights.

This cooktop replaced an old basic GE electric cooktop, and my wife couldn't be happier. It heats rapidly, yet is much safer. And it looks great in our granite countertop too.

I have received two of these cooktops so far and both were warped (not laying flat). It may be the metal frame being transported in freezing temperatures or inadequate packaging from the factory, or quality control. Also, if anything spills on the touchpad integrated right into the cooktop it random adjusted things or shuts the top down. On one occasion it kept turning a burner on rather than off. It’s a lower cost induction top, but Samsungs top model and should be better than this. 2 stars as maybe I just had bad luck, but my experience is 1 star.

Love the quickness,safety and control you get when using induction heating. If you have big family you may want to get larger model.

Im not feeling confident about my decision to buy Samsung appliances after the brand new double wall oven did not heat up after Bestbuy finished the install. Waited a month to get a replacement. Fingers crossed this cooktop will not be another Samsung lemon. Samsung is supposed to br all about the technology but these brand new appliances have none of the features the other brands have.

All functions are operational with the one exception which is the WiFi function is not compatible with our system. Not critical to our needs but was advertised as available.

Our old stove died so I decided to get an induction in its place to heat water quickly. I advise measuring the old space with the stove out and checking the specs to make sure you get the correct size. It boils a full pot of water in less than five minutes on power boost mode. It also has a spot to use a long pan or griddle. It looks nice and works great. Only complaint...if you move the pot off the stove and put it back it shuts off so we have to remember to check to make sure it’s still on before continuing to cook.

we had it for a almost a year an. it not working .. the upper control board is not responding.. to the lower one .. we been with out a stove for 2.5 weeks now .. samsung is sending some one out .,.. but .. the waiting really sucks .. when it worked it was nice an fast .. but we are just going to rethink our decision an look for something we can depend on...

I wish the response from the knob to the the cook top was a bit more accurate on the response. What I'm trying to say is that you turn the knob and your get a response 1-2 sec later. I just it was closer to real time

Looks sleek. Induction does what is should but layout of burners is awkward, knob is basically useless, and I find the simmer feature is not effective at all. In addition adjusting the heat level is very touchy. I'm actually disappointed and wish I had chosen a different induction cooktop.

Have been using the Samsung 30" Induction Cooktop for 2 months and love the technology. The cooktop itself gleams beautifully when polished. Heating elements are spontaneous. I especially like the multiple units on the left side that can utilize oblong shapes. The virtual flame that shines onto my new stainless steel cookware is an added aesthetic experience.

Finally took the dive and purchased a Samsung Induction Cooktop. A little pricey, but this cooktop can be monitored via wifi using the Smart Things App. Beautifully crafted and you can't burn yourself or even a sheet of paper. Only thing is you will need to update your cook to iron or steel. I was in the process of doing it anyway and got a new cookware set to go along with the new cooktop.

We are so happy It has tremendous security, because if you don't put the induction utensils on it, it doesn't heat up, it's super fast like magic.
