Before purchasing I read reviews on several Samsung smart tv models. I was torn between two 32" models one being 720p and this on at 1080p. I fell in love with the screen in the store and the fact it had one solid base versus two separate feet. It was easy to setup, connect to wifi, and get into Netflix and Hulu. I find no lag time between turning the tv on and getting into the smart hub like some of the older models. Occasionally when I'm on Hulu it does quit but they may have to do with where the tv is in the house. The sound is also incredible in a bedroom! We have another one in the living room and it's perfect out there too! This was one of the best purchases I've made in a long time!

In March I bought the smallest Samsung Smart TV (40) to fit into my bookcase - it was about one inch too wide. So, I contacted ADAM at the Rapid City store and we found a perfect match - they've just come out with a 32" that's SMART. Adam made the exchange go smoothly and the latest, smallest tv has a SMARTER remote - large buttons and more colors than black on black. Color me "happy"....and have Adam train everyone else how to provide outstanding customer service.

Love this TV, got it for my son dorm room. Very easy to set up. I think that the sound from the speakers are very good and the picture quality is excellent. I could not be believe the deal, a open box that I guess nobody wanted, it was in all the original wrapping. 205.00 was a very good deal, but I would pay regular price for it because it shows a great picture, did not have any buffering while on Netflix. you will not regret getting this model.

UN32J5500AFXZA is a Great 32" tv. The quality is very good and the sounds is verry good compared to the Samsung UN32J5205AFXZA I returned, the sound on that model was terrible!!!

Overall this is a great TV at a great price. The picture quality and sound is great. The only issue I've had so far is that sometimes the streaming TV services freeze up, but I think that has more to do with my internet connection speed than the TV itself. So yeah, that's the only issue, otherwise a great overall TV!

I purchased this smart TV based on extensive research & consumer reviews. I opted to spend the additional $30 for the J5500 over the J5205 for the added features (see Q&A's). Some consumers have expressed disappointment with sound quality but as a replacement bedroom TV, the sound system and speakers are very good (I have no experience with the optical output however). The 1080p picture quality is excellent and the 'Sport Mode' option is a quick single button on the remote which significantly enhances sound & picture brightness for viewing sporting events - kudos. While not an initial purchasing priority, the USB inputs are great. I used a wireless mouse to speed up setup and find that it is really convenient to use for navigating around Netflix, Amazon video and other apps (as well as adjusting settings). Having the second USB input for a wireless keyboard is also a great feature when logging into accounts during setup (beats using the remote & clunky QWERTY screen display alternative) or searching for new apps & surfing the web.. Setup was easy and intuitive and connection to my home network was no problem. I have not been successful in mirroring my IPad to the device using the advertised Smart View 2.0 technology so if that is an important feature, you may wish to investigate further or consult a BB store associate with an in-store demonstration. Personally, with all the smart TV features, I am finding I do not need mirroring for my bedroom TV. Samsung's remote is laid out nicely and the back lit keys are great in reduced lighting situations. I still need to use my Direct TV remote to access & navigate channel guides, channel selection, record to my DVR & playback but I find that I am not having to switch back and forth between remotes frequently.

Though this TV is going to be discontinued, don't be fooled. It's phenomenal. I bought this TV primarily for gaming. Initially I was going to go with the E series Vizio because I was concerned about input lag, but the picture on it left much to be desired. I went with this TV knowing that Samsung had models with low input lag, not to mention the picture was sharper and much better. Gaming perspective: For those buying this for gaming, you won't be disappointed. Not only are the picture quality and color both amazing to begin with, the input lag is very low. I believe it's 40-44 ms by default, but enable game mode (via general in the setting menu) and it's reduced to 28 ms. Though the Vizio E series still trumps by a few milliseconds, it hardly matters. Even without game mode enabled, I can play games that require immediate response without any trouble. I can pvp in Dark Souls and play FPS games and the delay is minimal. For everyone else: The picture quality is fantastic, and sharp. Colors are accurate, blacks are deep. The colors also do not looked washed out as compared to other sets in this price range. Movies and television shows look awesome. I don't watch sports so I can't say much about the motion blur for that, but it does come with a sports mode setting for ideal viewing. The sound quality is also fantastic, bass is deep. Lastly you have all the popular apps like Netflix and YouTube. Inputs: Has 3 HDMI, Component, and 1 USB for picture and movie viewing on a flash drive. No headphone jack, so you'll need to get a RCA to 3.5 mm jack converter for that. Overall: Sound - 9/10 Picture - 10/10 (can't stress this enough) Gaming - 8.5/10 Interface - 10/10 (very user friendly) Overall score: 8.9/10 tl:dr: Amazing TV for the price, both for gaming and normal usage. Get it while it's on sale.

Read a few comments not recommending this product, but still, it's 4.6 star rating persuaded me to give it a try. Glad I did, love this little TV. Sharp image, great color and decent sound.

Purchased 1-18-2018. Fit and finish, perfect. Stand assembly went with out a hitch. Everything lined up perfectly. LEVEL! Made all connections quickly. Loved the fact it plugs directly into the wall without the need for a bulky transformer! The setup menu was easy to follow and it excepted my WiFi connection / password on first go around. The TV's firmware was current 1510, so no updates required. All said from opening the box to turning on the TV after assembly and connections took less than 15 minutes for me. The picture from the cable box and my Sony X 800 DVD player was SUPERB,so far leaving everything at defaults until I let it play (burn in) for a week or two. Hooked up to my Vizio sound bar via optical output. Sounding beautiful. Smart Hub feature is really a nice feature! Have more exploring to do... Feature rich remote that will light up when the light button is pressed on the remote. If you're looking for great 32" LED TV this Samsung Series 5, 5500 is nothing short of AMAZING and worth you giving it a look. .

The first TV I received was damaged to the point of being unusable. Fortunately, Best Buy replaced it no questions asked, at my local store. That one was also damaged, so I went back again, and like before, they swapped it out, no questions asked. Once I got this one home I set it up and was blown away by the picture and sound quality. Setup was a breeze, and it paired effortlessly with my Samsung Phone. I use this as a combination of TV and desktop monitor. Love it.

I was looking for a 1080 TV with a single, center base and this was the only one they had. Needed it for a trade show booth. Works perfect and looks great.

I love the Smart TV functions and being able to use all the third party apps. Be sure that you can use the apps you want with the version you buy.

Always had great experience with Samsung's products. Love the fact the screen adjusts itself in different lighting conditions. Easy to use to display stuff from my Samsung tablet. Great buy...

I researched this tv vs other models for months! put it in my shop 75 feet away from router in the house. It beats every Samsung I have hands down but make sure you have it hooked to a cable or dish box or you don't get hd.as far as smart as I said it is 75 feet away from my router and I can you-tube a past football game and it looks live! make sure you get a j5500 model. nothing lower. these have 1 stand others 1 on each end.

Brought this tv for my daughter and was not disappointed at all. This tv is great for the price and has alot of features for the price.

The clarity of this picture is amazing considering the low price. 32" is perfect for the bedroom. The very first movie I watched was Jupiter Ascending and I was astounded at how well this unit handles color and action with ease. Crisp, Clear picture. You really can't go wrong with this model. After searching endlessly for very expensive 4K units, I am glad I came across this model and all the great reviews turned out to be true!

I purchased TV for my remodeled kitchen. I must say this TV fits it perfectly. Loaded with the latest technology and include a Powerful Quad Core processor for faster performance. You cant ask for any better than that. It has No lag, very fast and smooth at the push of a button. I purchased the 720p version and it laggy and the remote response time was terrible i had to bring it back. For $80 more for the 1080p version it is worth every dollar. The sound quality is absolutely superb. Especially for a 32in. It gives you a sound of a home theatre installed in it. You will be surprised. The image and video quality is crisp running on an Antenna because we only need main local channels to watch news etc. I love this TV. I have all brands of TV i recently for different areas of the house. Samsung tops them all from Vizio, LG, Westinghouse and Panasonic. I will definitely stick with Samsung for future TV upgrade purchases!

Beautiful picture. Easy out of the box setup for my daughter. I choose this model over less expensive 32" Samsung because we wanted the single pedestal stand.

This is a great smaller size TV. I use it with only an antenna as I only pay for one set-top box from DISH for my large HDTV. This 32" HDTV works well as a second TV in the bedroom hooked up to an antenna. But I would call it only "Semi-Smart." Linked to my home network easily but has only limited apps. Great if you use Hulu, Amazon Video, Netflix or similar, but otherwise has a pretty limited number of Apps. Does hook up to the internet, but is awkward to type in URLs or search terms (navigate to each letter with the pointer and press enter). Screen mirroring from a mobile device would make this much easier, but it only has screen mirroring for compatible Samsung mobile devices (limited to just Samsung brand phones, etc). Other than that, you can access photos or videos (or music) stored on your mobile device. To achieve screen mirroring or to stream TV shows from your other mobile Apps (like from Watch ESPN, or MSNBC, etc) from any other (non-Samsung)mobile device requires some other interface that you would use with a non-smart TV (such as attaching Chromecast, Ruku, Apple TV) or using an HDMI cable. It DOES have a specific MHL-HDMI port for the android devices that use MHL technology for their HDMI cable connection. For Apple mobile devices (with the lightening connector), you need the specific Apple Digital to HDMI cable (which actually contains the converter in the cable). But it is otherwise a great HDTV with excellent screen resolution - even with just an antenna.
